I think he means that if they wanted to stay so secretive, they can't appear in many places so that other types of people can see them. After all, if people saw them, they know that Kaminoans existed. Thus, they would need to stay fairly isolated from other people.

Still see no reason why that would mean that they don't know what the fucking Standard calander is, especially since it's been the same for 25,000 years...

They probably would have to know it, if their customers used that system of dating.
It would cause problems to have to convert the dates every time they have to meet a deadline.

Then again, it might be possible that the Kaminoans could pay neighbouring species to gather informations - or since there are millions of different species, it's not impossible that some of these could bear uncanny resemblance to the Kaminoans.

Yes, Dexter Jetser knew of the Kaminoans.
*throws hands up* Honestly, half the time I can't understand what the hell Simon's talking about, and the other half of the time I'm wondering if either something has to do with his seeming Kaminoan/Grey obsession or if he's just throwing out "possibles" without bothing to see if they make any sense...

Yeah, but it seemed that he had it through first hand experience from being out on the Rim. Maybe people don't really do that sort of thing, usually.
