Anyway, back to your point. Yeah, he probably could have taken SA. Although I think SA pilot's might have given the Iraqi Air Force a bloody noise.
Considering how poorly the Iraqis and actually fought and co-ordinated their attacks I wonder if the first Marines and Army Airborne troops might have done much more damage than was expected of them at the time. I forget who, but one general refered to them as speed bumps before the heavy armor got there.
