I didn't say the MPAA can force Europe to adopt, but that the MPAA can apply pressure.

Now dream with me: uniform standards. Imagine buying a DVD at JFK airport to watch back home in England. This is one expat who wouldn't mind Europe caving. :)

You can ... if you shoot through a few hoops :wink:

Unfortunately, Europe looks like they'll be using DVB-T (a varient of which is used on the US for DSS) for digital content. The US will be using ATSC, of course, and Japan uses ISDB.
