Would you like a new RTS or Turn based strategy game based on the SW universe?
A new FPS or TPS based on the Jedi Knight series, perhaps with a story line in the NJO era?
A new Rouge Squadron type arcade flight game or perhaps a Rebel Strike type game based on a Wraith Squadron story line?
A new X-wing game, flight sim. Perhaps based on some actual EU story lines such as the Thrawn trilogy or Zinji campaign?
Or do you have your own sugestion on a new SW game that would be better?

None of the above, I'd like some kind of command game, where I could BDZ planets, use the suncrusher, galaxy gun, world devastators, as well as transport all the liquid off planets to others, shape them as I see fit, maybe even make some artificial ones and clone and droid armies (except I'd make an army of all destroyer droids)

Seriously I think Rogue Squadren 4 would be a blast if they just said "You know what, fuck the OT, save the ground shit for the PT, lets go all out with the EU." I haven't played RS for YEARS and you know what was the only level I remember? Taking out World Devistators on Mon Cal(I think). And it's not like there would be a shortage of levels, the X-Wing series, all the EU books, with a lot of new ships from the NJO line, hell, even throw in a level based off of RS appearance in JKII(blast as many invasion pods as you can til Katarn can bring down the shields). And more levels were a certain ship is the best choice, levels with orbital or deep space instilations/crafts for the B-Wing, lots of ground targets for the Y-Wing(instead of 3 fucking dishes I could of taken out just as easy with the B-Wing or the TIE Hunter), etc. Just need to put a lot more creativity into the levels that were lacking in Rebel Strike, and the out of cockpit shit should be saved for very short uses and bonus missions(about the only one like that I didn't hate was Hoth, while not as fun as in RL, it was a cool new way to fight the battle of Hoth.

Indeed, there are many space battles in the EU that would make for absolutely kickass missions for both the X-Wing and Rogue Squadron series... And while I'm here: Damn it, why is it that Beggar's Canyon in both RS2 and RS3 are so crappy compared to the one in the original?

Fallout 3.
I know what the OP said, I don't care. My vote goes to Fallout 3.
Though to make some kind of effort to tie my vote to SW, from what I've read about the few interviews on the subject of Fallout 3, if/when produced, it would be generally real-time and 3D, kinda like KOTOR, but still very much like Fallout with all sorts of firing options, stances, strategy, queable actions, etc.
Woot.

Galactic Battlegrounds 2, or at least another expansion.

There's no urgency to either of the others, that's why. In the Rogue Squadron one, it's an actual mission, and you can fuck up and get a game over, but the other two are mere training missions.
On a side note: how many times can you do the Battle of Hoth anyway?

Hotfoot wrote:I too want a new X-Wing game. And, I'm sorry, but I want the fucking Trench Run. I want the original Assault on the Death Star done right. I want that level to be multiplayer, too. I want fucking GOOD graphics too, not that half-assed shit they threw together for XWA.
I don't care if the level is a bonus stage or a flashback or whatever, I want it. I don't want the second death star, I don't want the Falcon, I want an X-Wing and the fucking trench run.
What he said.
I'd also like to see the game with a whole new flight engine. Something with more realistic physics and a closer feel to the movies. (The XWA enhancements to the XvT engine didn't cut it.) Basically a bit more speed and the ability to pump out more firepower... XvT was a step in the right direction, but the little I've seen of the Starfighter series shows that more steps can still be taken. (Of course, Starfighter is arcady, but a closer combination can still be achieved; FreeSpace 2 is a good example.)

Just one more really, at the controls of an AT-AT.
