Final Fantasy 9 was the worst one, easily
So boring, to the point where I gave up on disc 3~ That and the characters didn't have much personality

I'm going to post my impressions later after I've finished my tryout phase on Manhunt (I've played the FFX-2 demo so Manhunt automatically gains priority since I don't know what to expect)

Longtime fans, prepare for a huge shock. I can't get this goddamn smile of my face, yet I'm ambivalent.
So you saw bouncing boobies?

Okay, I've been playing for awhile and I think I have a good handle on this game so far. I can't post a review just yet, but I think I can break this down for the people who are interested, but aren't sure if they should buy it or not.
First, this game just oozes girl power. From the Charlies Angels opening (YRP squad GO!) to the smackdown on all things male, this is very much a girl game. But that doesn't mean that guys aren't going to like it and I'm having a splendid time with it thusfar.
The maps are very similar to what we've seen in FFX (which isn't too suprising really) although there are some new areas. The whole world is basically open from the begining which adds a nice dynamic to it all. Also plenty of mini-games from what I can tell that should keep people occupied for quite some time.
The battle system...ah this is what I'm talking about! Fantastic job Square! The battles are VERY fast paced and are a lot of fun because of it. I haven't felt this good about an RPG's battle system since Grandia. To add even more flavor the job system is back and just as good as we remember it. The fact that all the girls get new outfits to match their jobs is fun to see (gotta love those hot pants) and there is a lengthy list of skills to be learned for each job (which can be switched on-the-fly in battle). There are also some really cool skills like one where you can madly smash the R1 button to fire a barrage of pistol shots at your enemies instead of a standard attack. Mix that with magic and plenty of combos and you have the most involved battle system I've seen in a long while.
More to come, but so far this game has been a blast and more than lives up to the Final Fantasy name. Color me impressed.

It's a freaking pop music number complete with a giant buddha that acts as drummer. Fucking hillarious, and yes there are plenty of boobies to go around.

Yeah, I immediately though "Charlie's Angels" when I saw that.
Also, these battles are fucking intense.

Get a video input card and post it then!

Ain't got one. Besides, it's not what you're looking for, I don't think. Although I do love the different dresses worn by the ladies.

Hmm...

I'm really liking that thief costume, though.

Check some Japanese hentai sites.
It's been out there long enough.

It's all freaky dickgirl shit, though. What's wrong with strap-on dildos, why do they have to sprout wangs?

Just a quick question, how is Paine pronounced? Pain or pine? I'm thinking it's probably the former, but want to make sure.

Assuming it's a relatively accurate romanization of the original name, I'd be leaning towards the latter. A link to a Japanese site with character profiles and names in Katakana would always clear this up properly, of course.

It's PAIN. As in she hurts people she doesn't like.
