In that case, what about Labyrinth with David Bowie?

Krull would be a great addition too.

Check out "North by Northwest". It's more of a suspense thriller, but there's plenty of adventure. Cary Grant gets mistaken for a U.S. government agent, and is marked for assassination by enemy agents. It's got a cool scene with a cropduster trying to kill Grant, and a great chase over the Mount Rushmore monument at the end. It's also got humor, especially the scene where Grant engineers an escape from enemy agents who have him trapped inside an art auction, while they're blocking all the exits.

The film shows why Alfred Hitchcock was one of the greatest directors ever to sit behind the camera. He could keep you on the edge of your seat with story, plot, and suspense, and doesn't need to resort to flashy special effects, explosions (although there is one in the movie), and elaborate stunts. It's deservedly considered an all time classic.

Ah, David Bowie! David Bowie! David Bowie!

Well, Mr. Rice's Secret also works for this, as does Absolute beginers, and the Last Temptation of Christ (sort of)

The Man who would be King. (1975)

Great classic adventure starring Michael Caine and Sean Connery.
They play two former british soldiers in 19th century colonial India who decide not to go back to England but instead set out on a journey to Kirgisia and become Kings. Great movie about adventure, war and above all friendship to the end. Great fight at the end and some humor is also provided.

Some quotes from the beginning of the Movie:

Peachy Carnehan:" Home to what? A porters uniform outside a restaurant and six penny tips from belching civilians for closing cab doors on their blowzy women? "
Daniel Dravot:" Not for us thank you. Not after watching afghans come howling down out of the hills and taking battlefield command when all the officers bought it. "
Peachy Carnehan:" Well said, brother Dravot."

Daniel Dravot:" In any place where they fight, a man who knows how to drill men can always be a King. We shall go to those parts and say to any King we find - 'D'you want to vanquish your foes?' and we will show him how to drill men; for that we know better than anything else. Then we will subvert that King and seize his Throne and establish a Dynasty."

One of the greatest adventure movies of all time in my opinion.
