So I get 40. I only need to blow up a couple of tanks before they surrender.

Care to point out an example of the French surrendering in any signficant number without suffering a major military defeat and/or being massivly outgunned and out matched?

ANyway you'd never get ten tanks anyway. Aside from the fact that you could never carry 40 or even 15 RPG warheads, they'd cut you down after the first ineffective shot.

He doesnt need to do any of that. Just raise the price of potatoes by a penny per pound and the French people will riot and cause the country to collapse.
Or he could open a McDonalds causing France to splinter into civil war. That way a bunch tanks would join him to support the Big Mac.

How would they cut me down? I'll have fire support from a buddy with an MP-15. Ever heard the phrase 'shaking like a French soldier?'

Uh-huh.

Know what a Thermal imaging system is? Know what a coaxil machine gun is? Know what a battle management system is? Know what buttoning up is? Leclerc has the first three and would do the last if confronted with small arms fire.

Given the CITV on the Lecerc, you'd be lucky to get off a second shot before being spotted and killed by a burst of 12.7mm

Yes. That's all very well and good.

But this is France.

Yes France, the nation that conquered much of Europe in the beginning of the 19th century, whose troops fought till they held only a single length of trench and a lone bunker and to nearly the last round before surrendering to the Vietminh. The nations whose missiles have sunk over 150 ships in action and allowed a third world nation to openly challenge the worlds third most powerful navy. The nation, which took 1.39 million dead in WW1 and kept fighting until the Central powers where utterly defeated. The nation, which fought till every combat unit had been destroyed in 1940 and then had the fight carried on by many of its armed forces even when the situation was hopeless. The nation's who light mechanized troops utterly destroyed two brigades of enemy infantry supported by armor for just five wounded.

That nation, that France?

Why don’t you just shut up now on this subject.

28 billion...oh my god...

The God of stupidity must be dancing in joy, while God (Judeo-Christian) is doing all he can to keep his twitching finger away from the "Start Apocalypse" button.

I hope that lady gets that 28 billion taken from her in the appeal court. The tobacco industry deserves to go down in flames too, yes, but that woman is simply ridiculosity personified!

OUTRAGE, OUTRAGE!!

The Justice system appears to be rigged to favor morons, but here's my favorite story. A friend of mine at work showed it to me.

A lawyer in Florida insured a box of expensive cigars. He then smoked the cigars, and claimed the $15,000 policy (having yet to make a single payment on it), saying that they were destroyed in a series of small fires. The insurance company refused to pay, so he took them to court and forced them to spoon over the money. The judge in the case decided that, because the company had not stated clearly what kinds of fires it was insuring the box against. Rather than fight the decision, the insurance company allowed the man to return home, where he was arrested on twenty-four counts of arson. He is now spending three years in a state penitentiary. Beautiful.

This is right up there with that woman that sued McDonalds because she burned herself by accidentally dumping coffee in her lap. Gee, I guess she didn't read the warning label which clearly indicated that the contents were EXTREMELY HOT. She won anyways.

Weather or not she is right or wrong, and no matter if the tabaco companies are right or wrong we are making a very bad precedent in the law. What next, a 1500 pound man will sue a fast food joint because he's fat.......oooops that is happening already.

To be fair to the legal community, juries and the legal system, this is a very recent phenomenon. All the cases brought before where the plaintiff sought damages caused by cigareete smoke were usually lost BECAUSE the jury deicded that personal responsibility negated the Tobacco industry's negligence. I think that this new trend reflects the jury's frustration with Big Tobacco's obvious lying and manipulation. They KNOW this stuff kills and they DON"T GIVE A SHIT. So they are making them pay the only way they can.

Most likely this award will be struck by an appeallate judge because of its siza and it will be wittled down. This is just the average citizen's way of showing their disgust with tobacco, NOT them siding with an idiot that does not recognize that this stuff kills.

Sure, the tobacco companies lie, but they shouldn't be bankrupted by some dumbass who didn't rad the warning. I hope she doesn't win the money, because she doesn't deserve it. She shouldn't be one of the richest people on earth for getting lung cancer. Stupidity shouldn't pay.

I wouldn't be suprised if she knew that it was bad, and smoked only for an excuse to sue.
