it´s irrelevant if you dont do it on a regular base.
it´s also been calculated how much dumber you get if you smoke pot. ther´s no permanent brain damage.

of course there´s a lot of other way to have fun, but why skip this way?
Getting drunk once in a while is one thing, I don't object against it.

Drugs are just too unpredictable. What's once in a while? which drugs to take? Who marks the line of which drugs to use? Is heroin ok?
How often? Can you safely assume you're imune to grow in consume?

Personaly, I always like to be in control of myself. To think clearly. So, I don't like to make my thoughts deliberatly turvated. That's not my idea of fun. And, with the dangers I can see associated with it, I don't miss it at all.

I kind of draw a line on this topic. Drug abuse is a very stupid thing to do, in my opinion. I won't shove it in anyone throat, though

Of Course alcohol isn't addictive! Ask any AA member!

I'm too young to drink, and I wouldn't even if I could. However, there is one drug that I ingest large amounts of, evey day. It's somewhat addictive, but millions of other people do it, and best of all, it's totally legal.

Ah, caffeine, my second-best friend next to sugar...

It's different. No one has ever discovered bad effects on your health due to caffein consume. On the contrary, the studies point to benefits in health for the frequent coffee consumers

yes, i agree. using drugs/alc all the time isnt good. doing alc/pot once in a while is entertainment = good. it´s relaxing builds off stress and is a lot of fun. i´ve never tried other drugs nor do i intend to do so, but i know a couple of people who do other stuff like mushrooms or pills and it seems that they can deal with it. i still think it´s stupid but i dont have enough knoweledge about mushrooms and pills so i can t argue about them.

Who said it was unhealthy? Not me, certainly...

Caffeine is a drug any way you slice it, and the question never said anything about the drugs being harmful.

The thing about drugs is that you never know what's in them. Who made it? What's it laced with? And how many people did the cartels kill to make it?

Granted that's not the case with some drugs, but still.

i grow my own grass, i know what´s in it.
if you buy grass you still know what´s in it.
if you buy alcohol you know what´s in it.

you see, that´s a thing i dont do, and i dont understand why people do it. caffeine doesnt give you anything. if you dont do it regularly it will make you fit. but if you need that stuff in the morning to wake up (exaggerated), well, that´s stupid!

I dont get drunk, its not fun. I do have a drink now and then with dinner or with friends. I think you will find as people age they lose their interest in getting smashed.

Ive never tried illegal drugs, Id rather spend my money on something else.

Im am pretty addicted to caffeine though, I need a Coke every day.

This is probably a very common American addiction.

Well, I live in California. Fewer people smoke here than in other states. And definately fewer than in Europe.

You cant smoke in resteraunts here, or most public places like bars, movies, etc.

If you ever spend like 6 months here, you will be surprised how much you noticed the smell of cigarette smoke in resteraunts when you return to a place where its allowed.

I notice it ever time I go over to Nevada to gamble in Reno. Its always a surprise to be asked "smoking or non" for seating.

oh, I notice it. Ever since I got married, I've not been around smoke day after day. I can smell it on my friends' clothes when they smoke. And when I'm around smoke, I come away and can taste it on my lips. Ick. We are getting better. A lot of restaurants and most malls are smoke free. It's great except when you're walking out the door. Then *BAM* smoke everywhere.
