In fact, humans can live with food from "beneath the waves" without any problem. For as long as the food they eat isn't poisonous. Most of the guesses of Verne in the diet on board the Nautilus were correct. Humans (particularly with an advanced tech level) can live without meat and milk.

This shouldn't cause problems for aquatic species like Kaminoans and Mon Calamari, who have evolved from seals and fish respectively - but, say, humans, IIRC, can't live entirely off food which comes from 'neath the waves. (unless, of course, they've interbred with Deep Ones)

You do realize that, their is plant life in the ocean for them to eat as well, right. And besides that their were human societies such as the Inuits who at one time derive their entire diet from the Sea. Many cultures today still maintain a high seafood diet.

There may be some political reason. Planets that need each other are less likely to try something against the Galactic Republic/Empire. And nothing is 100% efficient, so the recycling things must have a limit. And a planet as developed as Coruscant more than likely does not have many resources to exploit.

Which is why I mentioned the fact that Courscant is not the only resource in the System, the are other planets, asteroids, etc; that can be exploited locally. and those resources are vast my friend. A good sized asteroid contains billions of tons of minerals.

Ok, seriously, there was a program that talked about a woman who insisted that there was a missing link between monkey and man, and it was basically a water-dwelling monkey whose diet was based entirely on fish. (in fact she argued that all that phosphor was probably one of the causes why we got so smart)

Not that I actually know about that, but it did sound quite convincing. And japanese basically eat only fish, rice and algae... and rice doesn't contribute shit to nutrition.

Actually, the evidence that homo sapiens descended from "aquatic" primates is gaining *some* ground.

Its something to do with the fact that our fat distribution, breathing capability and so on would not have been suited to life on the savannah, but is suited to life in an aquatic environment.
