I realized early on that I hated the hell out of the fact that the blasters didn't outright kill anything, and the lightsabres were weak.
So I ramped up the skills on my main character the second time around and left everyone at home (didn't need the sidequests this time).
The crowning glory though is the giveitem cheat code. Go to the swforums at Bioware's site (accessible through Lucasarts site) and there's a sticky there with the entire item list for the PC version.
Equip your boys with the Insta-Kill blaster (one hit = death, so blaster combat looks GREAT - walk into a room, whip out the pistol, one shot to the chest each and the bodies go flying) and trot out the unique sabres and armor (one slash, things die). Granted it's one sided, but being a fucking unstoppable juggernaught is FUN.
Hhahaha cool. I'm playing legit dark side right now, but soon ... very soon ... cheat time.

You're about to see how much cash flow difference as well

.
Also as a Darksider...you can use Force Persuade on a few more NPCs, nothing much, but think of it like kicking children.

Anybody would consider using SETREPAIR temporarily to upgrade HK-47 being a cheater? I think it's fucking stupid to make you have high repair, specially since you're not supposed to have high skills at all (unless you manage to really level up as a Scout as much as possible and then suck ass as a Jedi)

Meh. HK47 is basically worthless by the time you get him as anything but comic relief.
Heck, a lot of the characters are redundant in combat.
Canderous is just as good as HK47, except you can use heal on him.
Once you get access to all the characters there are only about 3 that are really good, the rest are either redundant or not worth taking along.

im definitely thinking of doing that. really, there's no reason why T3-M4 couldn't do it.

My usual party picks, based on where i was in the game:
Bastila and Carth
Juhani and Canderous
Jolee and Juhani

Do it just to hear his stories(he has four...and each upgrade makes him better...in the end Upgraded and fully armored he beats out Carth by a long shot)

Juhani and Canderous
Jolee and Juhani
Mine...were Zaalbar/Canderous(depending if I was doing Light or Dark) and someone else...usually Bastilla, or at the end with HK-47 or Juhani(dual sabered she works quite well)

The best thing once you become a Jedi is having two people do melee and one person doing ranged attacks.
And of course the best melee fighters are Jedi.
Until the Star Forge where having three Jedi was helpful.

Actually Zaalbar does more

.
With Sanasike's Blade and Bacca's Blade...he easily does in the 100+ per power strike. Juhani with Master Speed may do that amount...but only dual sabered, literally her strength isn't up to the task.
Until the Star Forge where having three Jedi was helpful.
Sort off...but Jolee can die easily because he lacks HP and Juhani because of Force Jump can be out of reach when you have to go to specific place.
Overall I found the Jedi fun...but Canderous and Zaalbar more effective(simply because they had the HP and hitting power).

It's not just about strengh per hit however.

Maybe so, but they can dispatch enemies very easily.
Heck, I just ran ahead on the Star Forge and let the two kill just about everything.

Canderous is very good. However, Jedi abilities more than make up for the slightly less powerful attacks.

True...but Zaalbar or Canderous do kill more efficently for me...even on difficult.
The problem for the Jedi is that they are slightly outclassed in close combat and they do make up for it in Force Powers...but they also use it far faster and more vorcaiously then you and when they run low...they no aren't quite as decent.
For me, I'm the the one using powers...usually as supplement(a 29 Wisdom on the PC version goes a looooong way especially with the Consular additional power)...so a good few stuns and the crew cleans it up...usually why I don't use the Jedi...they are nice, but they run out of Force Juice well before I even begin to do and aren't as effective without it.

That's weird, when I played, the Jedi didn't use their powers all that often.
You did take control of them during the beginning of the important battles, to set up their queues right?

Sorta both, because I wanted them to do something.
Overall I can see why you'd use Jedis(I liked Zaalbar or Canderous better). Just I never found them to be power hitters that others were(though it's a bitch to get them off of using Power Attack...given Flurry is better...yet only Bastilla uses it).

Canderous and Jolee is an awesome mix. Especially with their quips to each other.
A crochety old man and a crochety old mercenary. Funny as hell.

I had more success when I set them to act as Jedi support. Bastila always buffed with valor or armor or something. Juhani and Jolee will back off to heal once in a while as well. It's saved my ass a time or two, I tell you what. Once I have Force Stun, Wave and Destroy Droid fighting up front is a lot easier.

I tried using that script before. I found it better if I just queued up as much as possible.

Hmm Canderous gets knocked out more often then the Jedi when I play KOTOR.
Jedis have forcepowers and light sabers outdamage other weapon by a large
margin. Mission is the only usefull ranged support if you are able to micro a
battle well. Sneak Attack + Rapid Shot does alot of damage. Same goes for
a Scoundrel/Guardian main character with flurry and 2 light sabers.

Jolee as support and Juhani as melee fighter, plus you as a level 4 soldier/level X consular is usually the best combination. It's a pity, they should have balanced the classes a bit more.
'though Juhani as a Jedi kinda sucked so any of the other NPCs with melee were probably better (I mean, with a Wis of 10 or so, you're lucky if your Cure ability even works

and it doesn't even depend on Wis) but the game feels too unbalanced in favor of: 1) melee and 2) Jedi
EDIT: WTF (Why The Fuck) is a soldier supposed to have a high ST instead of a high Dex?! this is the FUTURE, soldiers should be expected to fire guns, not fight with swords

damn WOTC and their stupid D&D-based sci-fi settings...

I'm about to leave Dantooine in my real evil bastard game. My achievements to date:
1. Collected all Taris bounties, irrespective of the sob stories I were getting from the walking corpses who had crossed Davik and/or his men.
2. Slaughtered infected Undercity dwellers rather than go to the trouble of healing them
3. Given the rakhghoul serum to Zax instead of that bleeding heart socialist Zelka
4. Threatened the soon to be obliterated by Sith fleet droid shop owner so I got T3-M4 for free instead of paying an outrageous 2000 credits for it. She's gonna die anyway, why give her my hard earned cash?
5. Lied consistently to the Jedi Council about how devoted I was to the path of the light
6. Accepted Matale's bribe of 1000 credits to get his son back, sabotaging his relationship with the Matale girl in the process (exhorting the two parents to kill each other seemed beyond the pale even to me- I'm not a psychotic- and I also wanted the money dammit)
Needless to say, my face is looking seriously fucked up.
Does this effect Bastila in any way? I'm thinking romance wise now.

Not a hell of a lot. She's passionate and you can get her to like you even if you're the scum of the universe.
And you're just holding back. I had those Romeo & Juliet wannabes dead. In fact, an uncanny trail of murder and death follows my evil character wherever he goes. He's already told off pretty much all his friends.
But that's what happens when you have the Insta-Kill blaster pistol in your hand. People die, other people listen.

It's pretty fun, and you end up with boatloads of money(mostly because of the amount of killing and a few other bits).
Only problem Darksiders have no Wisdom boosters for items...ah well off to set that as well

As an aside - the uber-pistol is

Money is damn near useless in the game.
I ended up with shitloads of it as a pillar of light character, and that's without selling off any of the stuff I had looted from bodies.
Heck, I only bought stuff three times, the permacrete detonater, T3, and HK-47.
The weapons you can buy are fairly useless against what you can find on people's bodies. Yavin is the only place with some decent stuff but even that is unnecessary.

Yavin's stuff is very good stuff, depending on the characters you use and what they do. There's no substitute for Baragwin class stuff in the game if you just want to be a walking fortress.

I just wish that the differences in weapons in the game was more than just amount of damage really.
There were some pretty cool one, but not really all that specialized outside of the specific type of damage they did.
