Kind of astupid question considering what the thread is about but is SWG a good purchase? I'm just wondering because: 1. If it is good then it will be my first RPG-type game and 2. I don't want to shell out $50 and how evermuch for fees to get a game that sucks.

If you've never played an RPG before, let alone an RPG with other people (many of whom can be jerks), I suggest you test your interest level WAY THE HELL BEFORE you get into pay-per-month games like SWG. Go pick up Knights of the Old Republic. If you enjoy that, you probably won't do too badly with other kinds of RPGs (even though the play mechanics themselves are different).

I'd seriously see if anyone you already know has it, and let them give you a go on their account. Personally, I love the game, but I can easily see why some people might not like it. It's probably a love-or-hate thing.

Why is this unfair? Those that practice the most tend to become better at the game.
Because I have to pay the same monthly fee.

Just wondering (since it's late evening and around the hour that odd thoughts pop into my head), but are there any other Imperial outifts besides Stormtrooper armor and the Imperial uniform? And also, what exactly are these 'Wookie wearables' that I hear about? Just stuff like belts, bandoliers, and shoulder pads, I assume?

You would be correct. Shoulderpads, chestplates, robes, etc.
