Hardly.
Stas Bush wrote:The TIE Phantoms, though destroyed, still exist as blueprints accessible.
Without the infrastructure, and with the stygium in the GA's hands, that's a problem.
Stas Bush wrote:The Empire has Star Destroyers. The ISD is still way better than even the dreaded mega-fanfic MC 90.
Bullshit. The MC90 will consistently outfight the ISD of either Mark.
Stas Bush wrote:The Empire has the cloaking shield.
The GA has the raw materials, the infrastructure, and the integral components (stygium). The GA has the galaxy's scientists and R&D under its control. Besides, the galactic civilization is more or less on a place of technological stasis.
Stas Bush wrote:The Empire can also hope for an alighnment with the Chiss. And Chiss fighters & pilots are sooo good.
A pity they must be modified extensively with expensive shit before they can leave their home systems, and are too few and tiny to make any difference on the galactic strategic situation.
Stas Bush wrote:The ISDs are more powerful.
No it isn't. Its an over-extended destroyer with too many missions only capable of dominating shitty combatants, smaller cheaper ones, or refitted civilian craft in battle.
The MC90 benefits from not having so many missions, and instead being dedicated to destroying other ships.
Stas Bush wrote:The stormtrooper armor is probably a very good defence measure against bio-weapons of the vong - acid stuff, toxins, and so on and so forth.
And the GA Marines don't have access to similar materials? You claiming the ability to make an NBC suit with armor is a GE state secret?
Stas Bush wrote:The TIE Fighters are the craft wich has maneuverability that can compete with the coralskipper.
With no range or independence and are too fragile. The T-65J3s even had survivability issues versus Coralskippers.
Stas Bush wrote:The Empire had that too - the Sith & Dark Jedi (and neutral Force-users) would not mind coordinating their forces in battle via "mind control", the consequences of that are shown best by C'Baoth in Thrawn Trilogy.
Enter Jedi Battle Meditation: with the increased benefit of fewer megalomanical sadistic ubermensch running around.
Stas Bush wrote:But the Jedi with their "passive" resistance did not use "mind control" (remember, they are servants of light and so on). So the rebels lost quite a few battles.
Do you homework before Impwanking.
Stas Bush wrote:What pushed the Rebels? War with the Empire. Now, as war has passed, people will turn back and see how awfully incompetent the Rebel revolutioneers were.
Won't deny it, but the Empire was hardly better. Hopefully the GA will overcome the guerrillero mentality of the NR and the first-generation Rebs.
