It might have something to do with financial concerns. Some stores, like Target, close relatively early because the costs of keeping it open for another hour or two a day would be greater than the profit they would make by being open longer. Wal-Mart is open an hour longer than them, or at least that's the case where I live, and I believe that's how they get 75% of their business.Johonebesus wrote:Did you know that they close at 9 PM? On a Saturday? In a two college town? While the Blockbuster next door close to bursting with customers who might like some food to go with their movies?
Not to me. Changed the channel or muted the TV everytime they came on. They're flat out ANNOYING.Zoink wrote:Maybe its just me, but that was the most effective commercial I've seen in a while, IMHO. It had me glued to the TV in disbelief.

Yes, I understand common sense economics. It just seems pretty unlikely to me that they can't get enough business after nine on a Saturday evening to stay open. Every single other fast food place in town can. I would think Quizno's could, especially with the prime location. Even with two stores closed, the Quizno's and the cell-phone place, the parking lot was packed.Asst. Asst. Lt. Cmdr. Smi wrote: It might have something to do with financial concerns. The best sub I ever had was this pizza sub from a Italian eatery in Knoxville when I went to the UT-UGA game last year. It was like an orgy in my mouth.Gil Hamilton wrote:It should be noted that the best subs in the History of the Universe come from a Pittsburgh franchise called Uncle Sam's. I guarantee that there are no sandwiches anywhere and anytime that are better than an Uncle Sam's sub. My mouth started savagely salivating just thinging about those Gods among Sandwiches.
