What would be the point in that? Trekkies would probably never watch it. Enterprise all over again.
Hey, *I'd watch it*. The season opener could have George Lucas politely addressing the camera before the opening prologue, saying: "To all the loyal Trekkies out there, let me be the first to welcome you to the total and utter annihilation of the focus for your silly little lives."

Okay. So it wouldn't be like that. But I'd STILL watch it.
Note: I'm semi-retired from the board, so if you need something, please be patient.

Point Osama in the direction of the new studios and give him a couple of surplus C-5 galaxies loaded with FAEs.

That should fix one problem.
you think so small, send the Russian army after them and tell them these are the worst Capitalist scum on the planet

Well, considering the nature of the (rumored) new storyline, I say give it a military ship name, like Monitor or Vigilant or Valiant... something like that.

On another note, if they insist on having another Trek series, why not do the New Frontier series by Peter David? Have him as Executive Producer on it. Christ, at least that guy can do Trek, and do it well.

Yeah, personally I'd rather see David Duchovny as Captain Calhoun -- but only if Peter David helms the next series. Otherwise, Trek would be a punishment neither Duchovny nor the fans deserve.

Yeah, Kitty used it for awhile at SB. I don't know where the hell she came up with it, but I like it. And since she's retired from the boards, I figured she really couldn't get mad at me for plagiarizing it from her. (Besides, I almost choked on my Mountain Dew when she dictated it to me for her own sig; she owes me for that.) :P

She's retired from the boards? May I ask why?

She went to California for about a week, and since she's been back she just hasn't really gotten back on. Also, I got into it while taking dictation for her posts (I type about 3 times as fast as she does) and she hasn't had the heart to kick me off the computer since she's been back.
