Well you defy most of the anime sterotypes, and you certianly aren't the Bishi type, (for some reason all gay guy's in anime look female).

sleep depers, well there are millions of Salerymen, but most of those are regulated to the sides

Artists: Not very often

Cats: Actually anime is full of cats, but you don't eat more then Goku, and you aren't a total slob so that would rule you out for the anime cat stereotype.

For all intents and purposes, it's still like Shinji is inside his mom.

It's actually just a single movie, not a series (although there is a Vampire Hunter D OVA series, it was produced a lot earlier and by a different company).

The classic VHD to which you refer is actually an OVA, although it wasn't an OVA series, it was single release. The film he was referring to was Bloodlust, I assume.
