Verilon, I DID comment on it. It's just that you need to start at the begining. If you can't find the begining, I'm sorry, but it won't help us.

Okay, I really am doing my best to find the beginning, but it can be pressing for time to try to type it up...Sorry about that. But other than that, would it be a good idea to continue it (after I find the beginning and catch it up) from where it is?

I'd have to give you an answer after reading the whole thing.

Okay that makes sense...problem is, beginning and the chapter before this are disconnected, and it may be a while before one catches up to the other...*sigh* I will stop posting in this thread for now...unless I have more questions.

ADDENDA: It now seems as though there is a line that can be crossed, as far as gratuitous sex and violence goes. We've just had a fanfic moved to the Hall of Shame due to gruesome descriptions of a man cutting out a woman's intestines during sex.

Athough describing a mutilated body after a battle, or injuries recieved during a fight, appears to be acceptable, slicing up a person for sexual gratification is pretty twisted, and it doesn't look like Wong will allow it to remain here.

As I've said before in another thread, heavy-handed gore and violence, while acceptable, tends to detract from the story. Try to keep things reasonable, here.

I just wanted to pipe in and support Iggy in this stance. And to add a mailed fist to Iggy's nice suggestions, I have just been made a Mod for the FanFic forum and I will be watching for any fanfic that crosses those lines of good taste. There is a difference between torture that is integral to a story and well wriiten (see the Episode where Picard is tortured by the cardasians as a prime example, there's torture but it shows us the strength of the character in that wonderful line: "There are FOUR lights" ) HOWEVER slicing someone's anus and insetring metallic objects is NOT sexy or even well written. It's just GROSS AND DISGUSTING. I'm looking to see well written pieces that add to the forum not pieces of fiction designed to elicit a grossed out response from the crowd. Writers are artists, let's be that, let's make art.

Congratulations on your modship, Stravo. I think it's well-earned.

If you're going to have a shitload of heavy-handed gore in your fic, I'd recommend giving a warning so that people who odn't like that kind of thing can cut out. This way, you'll avoid a bunch of "That was sick!" style posts.

RayCav's fucked-up fantasy is gone. It's all for the better if you ask me. Good fucking riddance.

Note: If you are looking for advice, you don't need to start a thread to do it. Starting thread that you know will garner only one or two replies is frivolous, and detracts from the forum. If you need advice, post it here, and someone will answer you.

Uh-oh, it's starting again... SPAM TIME!!!!!!!!

No seriously, what is Starcrossed about? I'd read it, but my Internet time is on a very tight leash because I'm not supposed to use the computer now. Could someone hit me with a summary?

Congrats, Stravo. But where's your title?
ALL mods have titles. (Seperate thread, perhaps?)
BTW, now you're a mod, does this mean that you'll have less time to write Star Crossed? :(
