Damnit Frank!
Hey! It's true! We got a well known but rarely if ever filmed historical piece, we got 1000 ancient ships, and we got, well, invigorating eye candy.
I mean, did you
see Eric Bana?

It's from the movie
Chopper based on the Australian hit man Chopper Read, a very disturbing fellow, and a very disturbing film. Although Bana was outstanding in it (previously he was just know as a comedian in Oz).

There's a cap of him from that at an, ahem,
gentleman's site for oggling celebrities I frequent, and no one was able to put a name to the flick.
Thanks.

I wonder if Sean Bean dies in Troy, like just about every other character he plays.

Impossible, otherwise the
Odyssey would never happen!

Well, he's Odysseus, so it's a good bet that he's going to pull through here.
Unless they make a creative re-write.
Odysseus: "Ah, we've sacked the city, time to go home..."
Menaleus: "I've got my Helen back! Time to drink!"
*five hours later, the Bronze coated Greeks are wasted*
Odysseus *pointing at Agamemmon*: "...and you... you think you are soooo great... *hic* but you sacrificed your own daughter to get us here... you're not the boss of me..."
Agamemmon: "Shaddup! Why aren't you dead? *rams a sword through him*"
Odysseus: "You... you bastard! I was supposed to live in this one! I've got 10 years of having my crew killed by various things and banging hot witches ahead of me! You prick!"

Okay that is strange for a guy to 'oggle' over Chopper Read (even an actor portraying him) is like asking a Taipan to give you head. Slightly amusing but mostly painful.

It was in an Eric Bana thread, and the other caps from other sources were QUITE oggle worthy.

The Gods will be playing some kind of role in the movie, Julie Christie is one the casting roles as Thetis, Achilleus' mother!

We need some Bruce Campbell.
He could play a King or something, thus allowing;
Hail to the king baby.

I wonder if Eric Bana gets to say this to Orlando Bloom;
(After Paris hides behind his troops when he spots Helen's husband in the opposing armies)
Hektor saw this and attacked him with insulting words: 'Paris you pest, good for nothing but looks, you woman-crazed seducer! If only you had never been born, or died unmarried. Yes, I wish it were so - and that would be far better than to have you the disgrace that you are and a creature of loadthing to others. Oh, the long-haired Achaians must be cackling at this, saying that we put up a prince as champion only for his good looks, when his heart is empty of strength or courage. Is this the man you were when you gathered your trusted companions and sailed out over the sea in your sefaring ships, mingled with foreign peoples, and brought back on board a beautiful wife from a distant land, a woman married unto a race of fighting men - a great plague to your father and your city and all your people, to the joy of our enemies and your own shame? Will you not then stand up to the warrior Menelaos? That would teach you the measure of the man whose ripe young wife you have taken. There would be no help then in your lyre-playing and the gifts of Aphrodite, your long hair and you looks, when you have your union with the dust. But the Trojans are cowardly folk - otherwise by now they would have given you a coat of stones for all the harm that you have done.'
I would settle for the first sentence though,

You already see in the first trailer Paris actually look like he's fighting. This is enough to ruin the movie for me. I just know they're going to fuck it up, because we can't have Paris turned into the cowardly good for nothing womanizer camper he really was.

Actually Paris does fight one on one with Menelaos in the book, he loses, and is carried to safety by Aphrodite.

Well, it didn't look like he was fighting one-on-one, but then again, the camera was focused on him alone.
Still, does anyone really expect Orlando Bloom's character, Paris or not, to be utterly humiliated? I don't.

If they want it to resemble the story at all, he's going to. Paris was a pretty boy pussy, which is something important enough to the plot that there isn't a very good way to get around it without changing the story.

As long as he's topless and looking good, who cares, really?

I saw the title for this thread, and I thought, "They're making another Tron?! What?! Why wasn't I informed?!"
And then I wiped the sleepy stuff out of my eyes.

Ironically, they are making another Tron.
