I make 7.28/hour(US) at a gas station/convenience store to sit on my ass and do next to nothing. I go to school and do next to nothing, and pull a pretty high (3.3) GPA.
It's an easy life.

I worked part-time at Taco Bell while I went to community college part-time.
Then I was in the USN for 6 years. I saved money, paid into the Montgomery GI Bill. When I got out I moved back in with my parents while I went to school. I didn't work any extra so my income stayed low enough that I qualified for government grants (being ex-military automatically separates you from your parent's income even if you live with them

).
Between the GI Bill, the Pell grants and a couple scholorships the UofA decided to give me out of the blue my 4 years of college were easilly paid for. I think I actually had more money come in through all that stuff than I paid out to the schools went to.
I did blow a lot of my savings over those 4 years paying mostly for my entertainment expenses. I think I also shelled out for a little minor foot surgery too.

Basically it really helped that I was able to move back in and mooch off of my parents while I went to school.
