Yes, while the form factor can be annoying at times (I can't rest it on the bottom level of my desk), the handles make it easy to move. It's almost three years old though, and it needs replacement.
Macs are nice, although I prefer ugly old PCs that I can keep hacking together ad infinitum.
Yes, now that I have the space, I may consider putting together a white-box PC for gaming, but not before I get a new G5. :)

2000, what are those white boxes that look the DVD cases next to the books? :P

Nice room. If there was a theoretical cleaning staff however...

The desk usually isn't that clean.

Those pictures are a good reminder of one of the reasons men need women. Left to our own devices, we're fucking slobs.

No, you see, it's not really dirty. Just messy. Really it's all paper products in there, not rotting food or something.

Howedar's room is a paragon of cleanliness compared to my room in university.

PS2 games. I told my brother at christmas "If i come home at Easter and you still haven't got the PC (at home) fixed then i'm taking the PS2 up with me". Needless to say he's as lazy as me so i got to bring my PS2 up rather than being kind and leaving it at home.

Cool but expensive. I applied late, but ended up with an en-suite in the nicest hall, rather than a bog standard in the crappy hall. Good job my parents are paying for accommodation this year.

Well, your brother got what he deserved :P Nice library of games.

If I study here, dorms here are neighborhoods filled with houses the size of trailers for 4 people. Should be cleaner, but walking hills every day to class is going to be annoying.

No matter where I end up living, when my mom sees the place, she always says that there are too many cables. Both my dad and I have tried explaining to her the "More Cables = More Manly" school of thought, but she just doesn't get it.

See, that's the problem, more cables isn't necessarily more manly so your mom has a point. However, it's an established fact that thicker cables are more manly than thin ones, and it's even better when they're made of silver instead of copper. If the cables aren't at least 1/4" in diameter, they're too wussy.

Nah, Cat-5 is perfectly decent and it's under 1/4" / 6.3mm. Thicker is better, but the minimum manly thickness is more like 3/16" / 4.7mm.

More cables = more manly.

Thicker cables = more manly.

Less cables but same or greater performance = slick.

That said, my space is incredibly tidy compared to Howedar's up there.

You can never have too much Cat-5.
