In 12 days, I will be 35.
The year was 1984, and I worked at a McDonalds. After being fired for screwing up an order, I subsequently refused to work any more cash register positions.TrailerParkJawa wrote:What was your first job, and do you remember what you got paid.
ME: I was a cook/prep person at Pioneer Chicken. I got paid $3.35/hour.
I dont think Pioneer Chicken even exists anymore.
First time I had to handle lots of cash, I messed up and handed the 20 dollar someone wanted me to break, along with his change. After that I was so nervous I kept messing up for weeks. My bank kept coming out over or short a few dollars most days. Not sure why thy never moved me to a non cash job, but after a few weeks, I got over the nerves and never had a problem with my bank again. The year was 1984, and I worked at a McDonalds.
