ME: I was a cook/prep person at Pioneer Chicken. I got paid $3.35/hour.

I dont think Pioneer Chicken even exists anymore.
The year was 1984, and I worked at a McDonalds. After being fired for screwing up an order, I subsequently refused to work any more cash register positions.

First time I had to handle lots of cash, I messed up and handed the 20 dollar someone wanted me to break, along with his change. After that I was so nervous I kept messing up for weeks. My bank kept coming out over or short a few dollars most days. Not sure why thy never moved me to a non cash job, but after a few weeks, I got over the nerves and never had a problem with my bank again.

My first job was last summer as a mover. I made 7.75/hour(cdn)

This is in Quebec, so it was fucking insane since it was during summer, the law here is that all leases for people renting homes have to be up by the first of July, so everyone is always desperately trying to move before that day. I was working 7 days/ week, about 15 hours a day, in 20 degrees celcius for two weeks, at which point I had to quit to go to summer school.
