Hmmm, looking at the pic again. Is that three more 'bays' along the keel of the ship?
They say, "the tree of liberty must be watered with the blood of tyrants and patriots." I suppose it never occurred to them that they are the tyrants, not the patriots. Those weapons are not being used to fight some kind of tyranny; they are bringing them to an event where people are getting together to talk. -Mike Wong

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

I'm not even certain of that, to be honest. Given the somewhat cluttered nature of this vessel a HTL turret might be lost, particularly if it were considerably different looking than a KDY-style turret. That aside, given that we're only dealing with a comic (ie an imperfect visual representation of the "true" ship) then I'd be willing to allow some fudge factor on this one.
I have no doubt that it is armed, just that if it was built to be a 'warship' it would probably have some heavy weapon that would be visable. If it was a converted transport, grafting on various sized weapons that wouldn't be visable at that distance, would be consistent with what we know of the Alliance and its ships.
I'm not really sure what else it would be, though. The entire lower bow structure does not make sense being on a cargo ship, but it jives perfectly with Nebulons and the like. Same goes for the big comms array. The whole thing is too ugly and plated-over to be a passenger vessel, but the plates don't look in any way tacked on.

I think this thing makes a lot more sense as the Nebulon's bigger meaner brother than as a converted transport or something.
Howedar is no longer here. Need to talk to him? Talk to Pick.
