Yeah millions die because he wanted to be a monk instead of a jedi.

Jedi evolved from Monks meaning monks are a lower life form - Fuzzy logic but it will do.

I hope he's still alive so he gets tortured by the Vong until he turns into a really bad Jedi.

According to a preview I read at TheForce.net, one of the upcoming novels is about Vergere teaching Jacen skills that are inherently Dark. BTW David, didn't you post that in a different thread on this board?

In the fanfic I mentioned earlier (nah, I'm not gonna sue), I toyed around with the idea of the Gray side... an aspect of the Force that is both and neither Light nor Dark. I didn't develop the story much because it was cheesy as all hell (hey, I was fifteen... sue me), but it would be interesting if they explore the possibility of the Force not being so clear-cut.

My General Bitches about the NJO

First of all, high Newbie here! :D

Okay into the reasons why the NJO is a children's series;

1. Lets forget the ABSURDITY of any out side power being able to subvert and entire GALACTIC civilation, without any palces of power.

2. Lets forget that our own galaxy contains 100 billion stars, and imagine that if the SW galaxy is the same size then, the YV can concur one quater of it in what one, two years? That's 250million star systems, assuming of course that each system is made of one star.

3. It took us till the 11th book to see a FUCKING orbital bombardment! Who the hell comands the bloody fleet?

4. Space is too bloody big to mine with slugs that control gravity! And I would like to know what exactly they are eating to stay alive in deep space!

5. The Jedi are PATHETIC, so what if the YV aren't apart of the FORCE, neither are combat remotes or battle droids, and yet the Jedi never seem to have a problem with blocking their attacks.

6. The Force is more than clairvoyance, it can also be used to augment physical abilities, ie jumb real high, run real fast, and much, much more.

Those are a few of the reasons that I can think of tight now, but need I really go on?

Don't think you were the only one man, I know at least 20 people that have made up a 'gray side' of the force.

Question, aren't the Chiss currently engaging the Yuozon Vong(or however it's spelled) and holding their own against them?

Hello and welcome to the boards!

You've hit it right on the head. In my opinion, Luke is pathetic compared to what he was in Dark Empire.

This is a bit harsh, but lets face it Luke was better in ANH when Obi-Wan first started training him in the force against remotes....

It's harsh to say he was better as a bad ass jedi but not harsh to say he was better as a farm boy? :?

I like it when Han tries to take a swing at Evil Luke and he gets his butt kicked.

hehe :)

I ment even with hardly any knowledge of the Force, he could still use it enough to block shots from an object that is not apart of it, with the blast sheild down no less.

Come on, do you really think that the Yuuzhan Vong will take every star system? They can do when they have the time. They're in a war. In war, leave the insignificant units or locations and deal with them when they become a nuisance.

While I agree that the YV are over-rated, all they would really have to mine would be the hyperspace intersections.

Well no I don't, however in all the books, we see the area contolled by the YV, and it is a huge swath that I assume to be roughly one quater of the SW galaxy. While this might be a bit generous it is a large area. And we must assume that like in any war, you do not leave units behind you that would harrass your flanks. We know that logic would suggest that while they would have definetly attacked and destroyed all NR bases, they must have attacket and defeted local system's forces as well. I think that the ICS did state that before the Clone Wars, individual goverments had their own fleet, and that is confirmed in the Zahn Thrawn duology, so that's what I am bassing that assumption on.
:D

I tend to agree with you, put since that is all we have to go on, shouldn't it be accepted. :?:

But then again, it's just one more reason why I can't stand the NJO series!

the thing thats bad about the NJO is that the NR seemed weak and did nothing after the Vong invaded. You would think that the NR after all the battles its been in would be ready for an attack from anywhere. Just because you defeat the Empire once and a foreall dosent mean your going to have fun and peaceful times. In a real life situation the governement would counteract much diffrently
