Damn, I've never thought of that, Mike. See your point now. So it doesn't even need Stormtroopers to commit Alien genocide.

Sometimes, tactical stupidity in sci-fi can be so blatantly obvious like Klingons, Jem Ha'dar, or Mobile Infantry in SST movie. But sometimes it can be just easily overlooked.

The real question is which stormtrooper battalion is fighting the aliens is it the elite troops of Darth Vaders original ship (devastator) who stormed the Tantive IV ie using jango fetts dna template or the ones from that point on when they changed their dna master copy to that of Jar Jar Binks (curse those government cutbacks on funding) the stormtroopers who in 6 hours of managed to win a firefight against an unarmed protocol droid but lost to the teddy bears picnic. These ones probably wouldnt have made it off their ship and down to the surface let alone actually hit an alien
