The early EU, prior to KJA releasing his "definitive" Despraye and destruction of the prison moon blah blah blah mentions that the Death Star construction was hurried, and that Bevel Lemelisk and the construction crews remained onboard to man the ship on its first cruise. The designers left the Death Star after Alderaan, but nothing was ever mentioned about the rest.Illuminatus Primus wrote:That makes no sense anyway; why would a starship keep all the labor gangs aboard?

Re: My Return of the Jedi ending
And with the Death Star being blown apart piece by piece by the Rebel fleet, which is in turn being blown apart piece by piece by the Imperial fleet, how exactly are you going to evacuate all the Wookie slave work crew probably scattered all over the Death Star (we're talking some 900km diameter of a super massive ship, here) before the final blow?Adamskywalker007 wrote:I think that return of the Jedi is the worst Star Wars movie and the main thing that bugged me was the Ewoks and the Endor battle
I think it should have been better
Here is my ending idea
the main battle hapens onboard the Death Star, it was just completed before the battle and Wookies were still onboard because they were building it. The strike team attacks the prison and frees all of the Wookies and gets them to revolt against the Empire. Instead of just disabling the sheild they sabatage the superlaser so that it explodes and creates a big hole in the Death Star and the Rebel fleet attacks and begins destroying the Death Star
... So instead of the Endor Holocaust, we have most of the Wookies getting killed because they can't get off the dying Death Star, AND the Rebel fleet gets pounded to dust because they have to focus on the Death Star and trying to evacuate all the Wookies they can.
EDIT: Sort of missed Endor being taken out of the equation.

Since Star Wars is always family-oriented, guess I would never see a Bond-esque ending showing Han Solo in bed with Princess Leia.
On the second thought, if GL is really serious on his "message", we would see Han sweating it out with Chewie instead.....

It was at the end, after evil had been vanquished and joy and happiness reigned. Of course it was a happy song, the fucking enemy was defeated you son of a bitch. *smacks O'Farrell*Chris OFarrell wrote:Yub Yub. The "Yub Yub" song sucked ass. That was one of the reasons why the original ROTJ wasn't so good. The ending became more about the Ewoks than the salvation of the galaxy. In applaud the SE ending, where we are shown the rest of the galaxy in jubilation and we get a sense that the whole 6-movie saga has ended, that the good guys have one, not the stupid Ewoks. In addition the music for the SE ending is far superior to the cheesy "Yub Yub" song.

Yup, apperently, there's a EU plot that mentions that alot of those rioters are killed for doing that.Enforcer Talen wrote:I was always freaked by naboo (iirc?) and courscant being so happy.

For the record, the Yub Yub song was a good one to end with. It brought the large scope of what just happened down to a personal one of the few who did it.

But as far as board culture in general, I do think that young male overaggression is a contributing factor to the general atmosphere of hostility. It's not SOS and the Mess throwing hand grenades all over the forum- Red

Yeah, I always reckoned that, on those new 'celebration' scenes, the Stormtroopers with riot gear are just off to the left of the shot

So how was Tatooine between Naboo and Coruscant? Unless Qui-Gon decided to take a starship with a leaking hyperdrive in the opposite direction from their intended destination.Ghost Rider wrote:I believe Mid Rim systemStofsk wrote:Where is Naboo? It's pretty much on the border between the Mid Rim and the Outer Rim. Technically it's in the Mid Rim. According to the maps in front of the books.Ghost Rider wrote:I believe Mid Rim systemStofsk wrote:Where is Naboo? It's too far for the Core, to close for the Outer Rim, so where is it?
