8 Soldiers sueing Government over Stop Loss

The stop loss policies do not only affect soldiers with years remaining on their 8 year contract. The Army can hold soldiers beyond their 8 year contract. Usually soldiers are held for a year or perhaps 2 years over. Personally, I do not think that this is a fair system. I hope that the government is forced to stop this system and instead expand recruitment/retention efforts. The Army can increase reenlistment bonuses, etc... in order to retain more soldiers. Most of the soldiers that I know (I'm a Army Reservist) would be willing to stay on if their country asked them to and backed that up with a nice bonus. This would also prevent the Army from dealing with a lot of negative press, which it certainly does not need.
