And the classes, what are the three initial classes you can choose from? What are their skill bonuses like? And are we sure there is no level cap? I hope there is, actually.
Doesn't really matter. Concentrate on what you want. Also your stats matter in stuff as well...such as Constitution is in direct relation to what Implant you can stick in you or your buddies.

And like Vym said no level cap, but only so much to get ...thus I believe they once said level 40...and it stops there for getting much more.

And the three classes are the three Jedi you can choose from the last game. It gets more interesting depending on do you become good or evil...because the book outlines three classes for each side.

Also the book does tell you that there are different lightsaber forms.

Oh and a small bit about those side games you all know and love....they added some new tricks and junk.

Oh and Charisma directly affects Force opposing powers.

So if you want to be Kicking Puppies Force Choking Kitty sodomizer....but really want to use Heal...get Charisma up there.

Same goes for Bunny lovers who want to use Force Lightning and Choke.

So we still get to waste lots of time playing Pazaak? I used to save/reload till I cleaned the house out. I was a bastard.

The gunner game got repeatitive, but it was fun. There wasn't any real sense of danger though. The sith fighters sucked.

And the swoopbike races were the best, but it was basically just a game of 'beat the clock' and not a real race. "I watch NASCAR to see people take left turns all day." :D No shit, and I play swoopbike to go in a straight line all day.

So you can use bad and good powers, regardless of your FP or DS points. Having a high charisma helps offset the badness?

What are the characters like? Anything non-spoilerish you can say?

Well Pazaak and Swoop racing got a lot harder. Haven't fought with any TIE wannabes.

And I do mean harder...more stuff and such not...you will see and slightly go screamy.

And basically Charisma offsets the added FP you would need to funnel. In the original if you were a light sider and used Force Choke there was an added cost of around 10-20 FP. With the use of Charisma it lowers it by a an amount...how much I've haven't notice too much.

And as for characters....let's just say they are nowhere as friendly to you at first until you warm them up...and well...you'll see. The first woman you meet(and obviously is not your love intrest) is a COLD HEARTED bitch. To get her to think you're cool....you need definitly need to be very dark.

Off with her head.

That's fine. I kinda got sick of Carth "Hi! Let's be friends! I smolder with generic rage and will occasionally make paranoid accusations upon my team-mates and generally be an arsehole" Onasi. I liked Bastila "Don't you like the sound of my sultry British accent?" Shan. Mission "I'm jailbait!" Vao was a little too friendly.

So cold-heart bitch, is she that Jedi wench who's supposed to be your mentor? Or are you talking about the bounty hunter babe with the stunning rack but implausible wrist rocket launchers?

Jedi Master...I won't ruin why she's a cold hearted wench but in your conversations with her...it's obvious what she prefers and what she thinks of you if you want to help people.

The other guy you meet early on is at least better then Carth...not much else can be said but at least he doesn't have "I smolder with Generic rage" act and he does actually have a brain on him when you're doing something heroic yet stupid.

From what I've read of the reviews, Kreia doesn't want you to be dark. She just wants you to be in control, no matter which path you follow.

How far have you got in the game?

Well sorta. But her views of control are rather....draconian. So far her correct answers(to gain influence with her) have been all dark, so they may change but she's rather succient in how she views the weak and helpless.

Though the inter party conversations are hilarious.

I've gotten off the first area...and on the second area. I've seen a couple others they shown in the ads and have seen who is obviously the main foe and the asshole who you're obviously going to have to smackdown to reach him.

Well, I had intended to drive over to Best Buy after school was out, but discovered a copy sitting underneath our godforsaken Christmas tree. So I have to wait until the 25th to play it, much like some of you poor bastards have to wait until Christmas to play Halo 2.

By the way...the other new characters you get are shitloads better so far then what you get in KoTOR. For most part...they can do shit and have useful skills, plus their interaction is better. Not everyone likes each other by a mile. They amazingly have personalities, and yes HK-47 is in there....you just have to repair him......literally, from other HK series droid you butcher and destroy.

And oh yeah...Battles.

On normal they have some which are hard as balls...let alone if you want to be bad ass and play the game on hard(and I mean hard...because some of them are on the scale of you alone with your level 10 Jedi vs a gang of 25 guys...all with guns and decent hitting...with a boss at the end of the battle with some uber armor and 150 HP)

Also...dialogue is much more improved.

Oh and one final bit....the romance is harder to get into for man or woman. Levels has little relation to how many dialogue options...you get some of course, but it's not as rigid as KoTOR 1.

So who's the love interest for the male characters? The bounty hunter chick?

I waiting for the PC version. Higher res and less/no stuttering.

Actually I've only met one of the possibles. This one is rumored to have two-three for both men and women.

God damn you, Ghost Rider. Now I'm going to buy it and waste my three-day weekend on it. I was going to go interact with people, but nooooo... you had to go and sway me back to the nerd side. I'll blame you for the wreck my life becomes.

Seriously, though, I am going to go buy the game (I was going to wait for the PC version). Here's hoping it's awesome.

Indeed...and KoTOR2 is a cruel mistress, as it sucks you into saying "One more mission......just one more" at 3 AM.

And yeah...I too wished for the PC version...then well I sold some old junk...got my X-Box version...and well....the PC version will be cleaner :).

This time though being dark is a bit more fun...and can do many many fun things to screw with the lives of others in your glorious quest to acquire wealth and sway others to being your minions.

My first time going through light side, and I swear I probably missed a couple side quests.

I have the almighty KOTOR II actually got it for free when i traded in the sucky Halo2 and alright but old Halo1

The Intro was stupid but it made you play a character that you hardly played with in the last game. the goldish astromech droid was cool to but sadly...spoiler.....

he dies in the next level

as long as theres an orange crystal for the lightsabers in this game im happy with it. Oh and does anyone elses game slow down on the magnetic doors? and what the hell is with that CD holder thing in this case, its a pain in the ass to get the game disc out and it has no push thing, you got to tug the freaking disc out

Well, I've been playing for a few hours now, and so far the game is awesome. It just crashed, however. I was at Telos, in the middle of a fight, and the game just froze up. Oh well. It's still cool.

Oh and Grenades are a godsend in this one.

Last game you could sell them by the boatloads...or use them(like Ion) against some opponents, but when shit gang rapes you....grenades are your bestest pals.

All right, this is pissing me off. I'm on Telos, but any time a fight starts, the game crashes, and I have to restart the X-Box.

What. The. Fuck.

I say return the game.

There are a couple bugs in this one as well that I've seen circulated on boards that are just fucking annoying.

Yeah...and wait till that same bug hits the PC version :P

KoTOR is a buggy thing...on both sides of the tracks  .

And now, they have outdone much dialogue...only HK-47 remains to speak.

"Pulling a Bindo"...heh.
