The Sith would not all turn on Palpatine. Here's a hint the Sith Empire lasted for several millienia before its fall during the Great Hyperspace War (not that must have been someting to see on film thousands of force users with equally powerful fleets). Besides Palpatine was vastly more powerful than Vader, who in turn was many times more powerful than any of the Sith adepts.
Most of the Sith would recognize their privilaged position and fight among themselves to curry favor with there Master. The constant competition among them would prevent any from becoming to powerful, or forming alliances. Hey, Palpy handle the moffs by making them hate each other, the same would work against the lesser Sith.
Hell he could always alter there thinking, ala' the clones or similar to what Jorrus Cyboath tried to do. In DE he was able to empower his darksiders, and siphon life energies. I would expect him to keep them weak enough to not be a threat.

Perhaps, Spartan, but the reason the Sith fall isn't immeadiate lust, but eventual jealousy. And then if they are smart enough, the could throws their powers behind an Executor, which was decently strong, then he could possibly take down Palpatine. But then the greatest Aloycote assest was too simply run with Palpatine's equipment, as in his Armed Forces.[/url]

I think Palpatine's set up of his subordinate Dark Siders was excellent. The only one who caused true damage was the Sith Apprentices--Vader and Luke respectively. Regardless, a new Sith Empire (albeit with only two Sith) was Palpatine's goal.Captain Lennox wrote:Perhaps, Spartan, but the reason the Sith fall isn't immeadiate lust, but eventual jealousy. Also, while there was some infighting, the original Sith Empire didn't have succession problems much worse then many dictatorships and monarchies throughout history. It was exceptionally stable for a fuedal-like state.Spartan wrote:The Sith would not all turn on Palpatine. *snip extra crap*

One group trained secretly at Byss, awaiting orders to unleash the various experiments that were coming to fruition deep in the galactic core.
The trechery of two adepts is not major considering the following:
1) Palpatine appeared to have died permanently; the Empire itself was engineered to collapse without him.
2) Two out of over a thousand adepts...one to replace each and every moff, and that's a conservative estimate...looks like most were loyal. They also apparently "filled" the halls of the Imperial palace before Endor.
3) Palpatine had planned on the contingency of someone betraying him, and had hidden some of his clones elsewhere (Essential Chronology), out of Skywalker and any other traitors' potential reach. Their damage to Palpatine was basically non-existant.
4) The adepts were not very powerful, and not a realistic threat to Palpatine. His apprentice, Vader, and his attempts to make Skywalker his apprentice were the cause of his destruction.
5) The only other reason for Palpatine's destruction is the genetic sabotage of his clones by Guardsman Jax, operating on the instructions of his Master, Sith Lady Lumiya, also known as Emperor's Hand Shira Brie, who had been defeated by Skywalker in the year after Endor, during which she had formed a splinter sect of the Sith from Palpatine's order when she recovered Sith artifacts on the ancient capital of the Sith Empire, Zorist (spl?). She obviously wanted Palpatine out of the way, so the future of the Sith, and the (hopefully) galaxy would be hers to control.
