I tihnk I was being too nice with Philly in my last post. I think the city is such a dump, it's hard to believe it was once the capitol of the US! Also, the school system stinks, and they have a rusting ocean liner docked in the harbor.

Gary, Indiana and Flint, Michigan are also bad places rom what I've heard.

Want to know the Number one bad city....

Hint: You need a car to get around, it has smog 24 hours, and it's traffic is legendary....

Give up...

size=18] Los Angeles[/size]

Man that city is one big shithole, hollywood is no good. I wouldn't step foot in that dirthole..

Hey, the Olympia was an important warship. It's the only ship of that era in existence, it was Admiral Dewey's flagship, and its fleet defeated the Spanish Pacific fleet with only one person dying (from heat stroke, no less). For a military buff, that is a very cool ship.

I'd be willing to bet that a few cities in China can compete for the coveted "Most Polluted City" title.

Try Mexico City...heavily urbanized, and in a natural bowl within a mountain range. The smog literally has nowhere to go. I've never been there myself, but a group of my friends went there to do some construction and said it was the worst place they'd ever been...far worse than LA.

It has the added benefit of poor construction, unstable foundations thanks to being built on a lake filled in with trash, and active fault lines. Fun for the whole emergency response team family.

Yes, mustn't forget the mud. I believe they've also had encounters with trash slides on the outskirts. Or is that only Brazil and the Philippines, I cant remember now?

Yay! My room mate is from Buffalo and so are lots of people in my family and though the weather does suck for most of the year, it's a pretty decent place. The sucky weather seems to be lately in DC and Baltimore (rain rain rain rain rain...
I need a raincoat
And I get no answers
And I don't get no change
It's raining in Baltimore, baby

Do you live anywhere near the inner harbor? I've been there a few times, and that is what Buffalo COULD look like if we let go of the partisan politcis and fighting.

Hehe, ya, the inner harbor is a short trip through much traffic. Some days its worth the trip. We went from drought here to floods. I am gonna say this is the worst year yet. It is livable though because its not as cold as New York.

The only ones close enough to do damage are extinct IIRC. I'll have to dispatch one of my new mobile models.

Just for the record, I've visited Buffalo several times and I kinda like it. You've got a city hall shaped like an enormous dildo and you can get stoned in that park by the Albright-Knox gallery.

Oh, and to whoever was dumping on Philly in this thread: piss off, asshat. It's run by a bunch of fucktards (Rendell was the only decent mayor they've had since Rizzo), but it's a good town. If they'd annex the suburbs like Rendell wanted to do, they'd be a world-class city again.

Dammit, I thought they were all extinguished when you made a planning error and your attempt to invade Canada was foiled by Old Man Winter.
