Given the improvements of the superlaser, I would say yes. Fusion cannons can't be.

2. Would the Empire actually build such a ship?

I'm aware of that. One of the things they did was cut the length to 24 kilometers. This thread is about the Original design, which was 537, later 260 kilometers long. His claim that the original is from the Furry conflict is not correct.

The way the Furry conflict revised it stats, a 260 klick warship would be able to take on the entire Federation fleet even with its upgraded Ep 2 ships and win with ease. Not very useful for role playing.

Or you could employ a ship of your own, from either the Dahakverse, the Honorverse, the Culture, or any other mega-powerful universe.

It's easy to throw around big numbers. It's what you do with them that counts.

Honorverse fire power is lower than Wars but a Nergal type battleship would splatter even the 537 klick variant of the Imperium class with a single salvo.

It'd be interesting to see a Fourth Imperium warship open up on one of those things with it's gravitonic disruptors. If I understand the way quantum-crystalline armor works, the disruptors would tear up anything they hit within the ship, but would leave the hull virtually unharmed.
