When you take out the Universal Health Care/anti-HMO propaganda, John Q with Denzel Washington was gut-wrenching at times. I can't watch that movie to this day without a box of kleenex.

Kurosawa. And it's a great movie. I saw it in the theatre about five times.

Except those samurai were wielding Colt .45 Peacemakers instead of Katana, and the Japanese Medieval clothing was a little bit incorrectly depicted. Otherwise it would made an accurate remake! :P

I feel the need to mention Spirited Away. Very powerful and highly emotional for me. There is so much going on in the movie that it really was a masterwork from Miyazaki.
