Dont forget now if their in a building depending on how smart either isthey could use whats around them as a weapon, just because they didnt start with one doesnt mean they couldnt use one... i guess, unless in VS's they dont pick up stuff.

I'm not sure as I have heard Knights in armor doing hand standsRobert Walper wrote:And those same knights needed to have pulley systems to lift them onto their horses because they were so heavy...NecronLord wrote:Knights in armour make as much noise.Robert Walper wrote:it's footsteps are very audible and strike me as those of a very heavy individual(no pun intented there).
The only Knights that ever needed pulleys to get on horses were the ones in that "Henry V" movie with Laurence Olivier. They were quite dextrous and capable of acrobatics in their armor.Robert Walper wrote:And those same knights needed to have pulley systems to lift them onto their horses because they were so heavy...NecronLord wrote:Knights in armour make as much noise.Robert Walper wrote:it's footsteps are very audible and strike me as those of a very heavy individual(no pun intented there).
The op says they are both unarmed.Stark wrote:Robert, you're HONESTLY saying that the drone will win - because of hand to hand? They'll get fucking shot, man!
Although, the BD is just a gun on legs. They didn't demonstrate impressive performance in any field. But they're still going to massacre drones with blasterfire. Hand to hand my ass.
It helps to read at least the OP before posting. *sigh*Stark wrote:Robert, you're HONESTLY saying that the drone will win - because of hand to hand? They'll get fucking shot, man!

Perhaps the Borg wound up in a Jawa junk pile, or the BD floated into Borg space and lost his gun...hell, it's like coming up for a reason why ST and SW would cross in the first place. Use some creativity.Assassin X wrote:Yep. No Assimilatio. Hand to hand combat. I have no explanation at to why they have non of their weapons or how they got here but...um... they did.
THats a myth. I've seen videos of guys dressed in full plate armor thrown themselves to the ground and get themselves right back up again. The armor is distrbuted all over your body so its not just one muscle lifting the whole thing up.Robert Walper wrote:And those same knights needed to have pulley systems to lift them onto their horses because they were so heavy...NecronLord wrote:Knights in armour make as much noise.Robert Walper wrote:it's footsteps are very audible and strike me as those of a very heavy individual(no pun intented there).
Depends what mode they're in. For example in Enterprise we see a Borg drone attack after being stuck in the ice by having nanoprobe injectors puncture someone's foot. In other words, either the drone is in "attack" mode or not.Darth Servo wrote:Borg drones don't attack unless attacked first...
Well, your example is outside of the context I was referring to, being able to get onto a horse.Darth Servo wrote:THats a myth. The Super Battle Droid ripped a normal Battle droid's head off in one punch. Borg have been seen to be very slow and unweildy, relying only on assimilation.Assassin X wrote:Ok my first time on teh VS board so i thougt id post one:
One borg vs One Battle Droid.
Neither has weapons of any kind. And if anyone thinks a Battle Droid is perhaps to easy we'll make it:
One borg vs One Super Battle Droid
Same situation(SBD's weapons are busted).
That, as has been said, a myth. Full plate armour used in Jousing didn't even require a pulley system. The armour as a whole is heavy but it's weight rests on your shoulder, hips and legs. It's evenly distributed.Robert Walper wrote: Well, your example is outside of the context I was referring to, being able to get onto a horse.
I was under the impression heavy knights needed to be assisted onto their horses with pulleys, since their armor was so heavy and cumbersome they couldn't get on one without assistance.
If one can lift him self off the ground, he can lift himself onto a horse as well.Robert Walper wrote:Well, your example is outside of the context I was referring to, being able to get onto a horse.Darth Servo wrote:THats a myth. Yeah The B1 and B2 droid aren't really melee fighters (unlike the standard borg drones who will either try to assimilate or beat crap out of you). If we really wanted pit a Borg drone against a melee wardroid, the droid in question would a IG-100 Magnaguard elite battledroid (and these things kill jedi when armed).Placing a standard Battledroid in a fight unarmed is, however, outright ridiculous. They're fold up bargain basement soldier wannabes. You could probably fit one in your luggage. It speaks volumes of the craptitude of Drones that there's any debate.
If its a Super Battle droid though it could take off the Drone's head in one punch.Lord Sander wrote:I can just see it,
the Borg drone walks around examing his surroundings, wondering where the Collective voice(s) have gone.
Battle droid walks up to him.
Droid: "Halt! What are you doing here?"
The drone doesn't pay attention.
The droid steps into it's path.
Droid: "Sir, you will have to leave."
The drone notices the droid.
Drone: "We are the Borg. You will be assimilated. Resistance is futile."
Droid: "Assimilate, uh, err, that doesn't compute.."
The drone tries to plug its tubules into the droid.
Droid: "You're under arrest!"
The droid grabs to drone's arm and tries to haul him away, the drone just keeps trying to assimilate the droid.
Night falls. The drone still trying to assimilate the droid, the droid still trying to haul the drone away...
