That's all that inhabits online gaming. Halo 2 is rife with them. A sudden influx of people that just learned that you can't get at them so they yell like your scared of them.

1. Low level? You won't be attacked.
Beware of that. Enough fuckers on both sides on some of the more heftier Realms go with their "I'm sixty because I have no life and my hand no longer wants to speak with me" entering towns and being "I r0x0rs uz!!!!"
As they slaughter everyone.
It doesn't happen too much for Alliance because they outweigh the Horde 3-1 on half the servers(usually 90% is 2-1)...but for Horde? Almost daily...hourly even.
2. Wanna fight someone? Challenge em to a duel. No one dies, you find out who's better.
3. Got killed? You've lost nothing- just go get your body as a ghost.
True and true.
And so on and so forth. What's yours is yours and no one can take it away from you. The sense of community is better than most, I hear. The amount of times I'm sitting there about to get killed by some bloody monster and inconvenience me by making me run from the cemetry to my body, and someone else comes along, sees what's happening, and simply KOs the baddie, it's fun. I do it as well. Who wants to die? No one.
The death part is fun because really the game will assrape you. You get even slightly cocky, and suddenly you're kneedeep in Spiders doing 40-50 damage per.
And community is pretty good, still kiddies and assholes who bitch and whine about how dare you take a Mining Node they just saw(nevermind you destroyed the 5 monster surrounding it...they claimed the land before you were born).
But I've heard that's pretty much any MMORPG. Just wish Blizz get their act together about the real issues instead of catering to dickwads who complain their class is nerfed.

Last night on WoW i encountered some of the biggest assholes i'd ever met. I was down in Ratchet doing some smelting when i came across a lvl 24 Dwarf Pally. Being a lvl 24 Tauren Warrior myself i figured it's be a good fight and turned on pvp. No sooner was pvp enabled than 5 rogues so high their lvl was ?? appeared and killed me, then they camped my body and the graveyard. These fuckers then moved onto the Crossroads and proceded to kill everything they could find, guards, vendors and anything that had pvp enabled.

Regarding Counter Strike, don't wanna find TK's? Go to clan servers, usually if someone goes TK then he's either kicked or banned (though the latter is rare, except when the admin has taken enough BS from him/her), or you can choose all kinds of punishments, since taking a part of his money to blinding him throughout the entire round.

Sadly your tale is not a unique one in Horde vs Alliance.
For some reason a bunch of 12 year bitches and 30 permavirgins on every server I've been on thinks "I've reached 50-60...I'll now make everyone else's game worth SHIT."

that does it...
since you can order pizza online, we need to legalize prostitution, and arrange a blowjob service for other players....
Purhaps if you can get them laid they won't be such assholes....

What massmogs need is an effective criminal justice system that encourages citizen participation.
I.E. bounties.
Sufficiently rare and shiny bounties that those players who have hit the highest levels and aren't cockgobblers are encouraged to hunt the antisocial types and kill them.

reminds me of the time we convinced a christian fundamentalist that he couldn't play magic the gathering anymore, because we disintergrated him with all of the Urza's lands backing it up... (game had involved multipal streams of life, and blue copy spells, so we all had LPs in the 50s+) So in one turn between the blue copy spell, and the disintergrate it's self, we reduced him to -20 LPs with a disintergrate.

the much dreamed of /blowjob command, i guess to implement this the monthly fee would go up a bit.

Oldy but goody:
So here I am on de_aztec, right? I'm playing T and we're in the fairly standard rythm of 'Ts rush the bridge right from start, CTs repulse, blahblah'. Well, for some reason I end up towards the back of the line because I took the time to nab a P90 and a Kevlar+Helmet combo. So as we're approaching the archway that leads out to the bridge (y'know, the one that has the doors to the bomb area on the left, and a warehouse on the right), a flash grenade comes sailing in. Then gunshots. I book backwards around the corner as the last of my teammates hits the ground, wait five seconds, then open fire the instant that the CTs round the corner and kill at least three or four before going down.
Of course I get called a 'camping f4gg0t'.

I found that the most asshole-ish players that I've ever encountered in any online game were in Battlefield 1942. Maybe because there are so many things that one can do to be a prick:
1. Team killing. Duh.
2. Spawn camping a non-capturable base where all the main vehicles are, even though there are still bases left to capture.
3. Using planes like a jeep; not even bothering to use the weapons to stop ground/naval forces and just bailing out. I can see the uses in this sometimes, but I see players use all of the planes solely for this purpose.
4. Taking a vehicle and adandoning your fellow players when you can easily fit them in if you just waited a few seconds.
5. Shooting down your own planes as they take off simply because there isn't enough room for you.
6. Neglecting to help fellow players/structures/vehicles if you are a Medic/Engineer.
7. Going rogue and not even working as a team.
Number 7 is the biggest problem of BF42 and its sequels. There is so much freedom to do whatever the hell you want that no one works together and it gets really shitty. There should be much more teamwork in that game.

This is why America's Army was a good game - people had to sit through many many MINUTES - yes, minutes - of training before being allowed to go online.
Man, that weeded out the idiots like you wouldn't believe... During 18months of playing Americas Army I saw only 1 case of non-accidental team-killing and absolutely no cases of bullshit player behaviour. If someone was having a problem, between rounds people tried to help them with it... Good vibe...

The game does certainly filter out a lot of the morons, but it's far from complete in my experience. I still see stuff like "OMG VIP NOOB" and the like on SFHospital, servers that kick for "spamming" (better known as suppression fire), and all kinds of insults and accusing of hacking going on.

Hmmm, never came across that - though some dickhead, did once have a go at me for "camping" - while I was the designated marksmen...
Sure, because firing once, then relocating, and spotting and relocating, and spotting and relocating and firing and relocating and relocating and spotting and relocating... I'm sure somehow that would have counted as camping.
