Grand Theft Auto: Bender.
Think about it, Bender is the ideal candidate for a GTA game. He's the right type of criminal, considering how you end up doing everything in those games anyway. He's the callous, yet loveable asshole we all want to be.

Star Wars: Supermacy/Rebellion with an interface that you can actually understand. Fleet battles should incorporate the Homeworld 2 Engine.

A remake of Total Annihilation.
Hands down one of the best gameplay and user interface, but ultimately it has aged rather poorly in things like AI, scripting and modability in a few areas.
As well as editing tools which dont suck ass.

A new TA would rock. Possibly the finest RTS I've played, on a level with HomeWorld. Possibly could do with more characterisation, while we're on it.
While I'm not a proponent of overly personalised stuff, atleast a hint of personality from the Commanders at least, would be good.
And the CORE rule supreme.
Still thinking on an idea for a game I'd make though -.-

Five Things.
1. A new X-COM, based on the first, with all the modern conveniences. Turn based, damnit!
2. Freespace Three. Duh.
3. Fallout Three. Uh huh.
4. Into the Fire... please if there's a merciful god, it'll be updated to modern standards and released...

5. Any direct adaption of Turn-based Battletech... with 3D graphics. (Megamek 3D?

)

On the topic of Homeworld, you know what I would like? A Homeworlds meets Rouge Squadron type game!
Where you can actually fly out among the other ships, doing missions and what not. I mean who wouldn't love the chance to actually fly around and through a Bentus Tradeship or even the Harbour ship!
And for that matter, I would love another aspect to the game where you can actually be a 'captain' of various ships. Sure in the game you can move them around and tell them what to do. But it would be neat to not just be some overlord of the whole fleet, but also try and fight through missions actually in command of various ships.

The HW-Rogue Squadron idea is brilliant! Imagine flying a Hiigaran interceptor or even a Gunship. Or, for that matter, someone captures a Vaygr fighter, and you fly it on a black ops mission.
On the topic of commanding one ship, that's what I was suggesting in my last post. Glad you agree! I mean, I would
love to command a Hiigaran destroyer. That ship is my favorite of the HW2 designs. It would be even better if you could name the ship, both from a list of Hiigaran names, like "Naar-Tel", for example, as well as making up your own.

I belive that someone was working on a HW mod for FreeSpace2 and a FS2 mod for HomeWorld.
Could never get the HW ships to work in FS2, but the Homeworld mod (gee, this is confusing) worked nicely, if uninspringly.

Hmm...I'd make a mod of Jagged Alliance that allows for cybernetic enhancement, basically cyberpunk meets small-squad tactics/strategy. That and I'd love to see a MMORPG of that, or of a Jagged Alliance game, a MMORPG of Fallout (finally completed) and I want a MMORPG with a negligable monthly fee

1. A new X-COM, based on the first, with all the modern conveniences. Turn based, damnit!
Add in an option for new UFOs, new aliens, new trooper images, new weapons, etc. Maybe use the Spore engine to animate the troopers/aliens. Design your own interceptors, with appropriate costs (Interceptor with 2 wing systems plus a pair of nose systems?). Larger transports, or even air-dropped troops (lots more troops (30+), but all strung out over a line). Human traitors, the ability to retake governments conquered by aliens.
Lots more missions. The aliens can try to build lunar bases, stealthed space stations in orbit of Earth (so the Lightning has a purpose).
Ability to use multiple transports to deliver troops (and combine with air-drops?).
Ability to choose frame & weapons for HWP. Instead of using an expensive and elerium hungry floater platform for my HWP/Launcher, just put it on a treaded platform. Maybe include wheeled & hover platforms as well, for more terrain options.
More terrain (water, bridges). Multi-level terrain. Realistic physics like in Apocalypse, where if you blow up both ends of a pipe, the center falls.
Designable armors (requiring research). So light armors can be given hover technology, instead of requiring the extra resources of a full power suit. Or even just hover-packs.
Anti-grav assisted heavy weapons.
More than 8 bases. Larger bases. Base limitations (i.e. you can't put hangers near the center, only along the edges, unless the base can handle it. Ditto for defenses). Multi-story bases, both human and alien.
Linking results of X-Com: UFO Defense to the starting of X-Com TFTD. If you do well in UFO, the aliens in TFTD are tougher. Of course, your veterans from UFO will help train the new guys in TFTD, so you get better rookies/Seamen.
Surface weapons still work, but underwater needs new technology. You can use alien alloys for underwater combat, but they degrade while underwater. Motion sensor works underwater, but the water itself is in motion, so the screen shows movement all over. Medi-packs get diluted in water, halving their effect. Underwater blue-green lasers?
5. Any direct adaption of Turn-based Battletech... with 3D graphics. (Megamek 3D? )
Include the option to add in new weapons as well? Also, no auto-targeting (where the Mech automatically aims at the next enemy target), allowing vehicles to survive longer. Infantry hide in woods & similar, creating wonderful ambush opportunities.

A totally new game, based on the Homeworld universe. You knew this was coming, since I'm the leader of the Sobani. I mean, rather than epic space combat, have it more down and dirty. Put a face on Homeworld.
Have it about the Hiigaran Marines. Ever since seeing a Marine Frigate, I've fanticized about what it would be like as those power-suited marines run down corridors, fighting for control of the ship. I mean, really. That would be an awesome idea. You're part of an elite Marine unit that is posted on these really dangerous missions, like retaking Hiigaran ships, freeing hostages, raiding research facilities, sabotage, Black Ops, etc. This is my idea of the ultimate HW-verse game.
And have dynamic characters. Squad corporals, platoon officers, intelligence hacks, that sort of thing. Not just some named soldier with certain stats, a real character, like Captain Soban.
Put it in the middle of the Dust Wars or something, fighting the Taiidani Imperialists and Turanic Raiders. Hell, let's even throw the Protectors of Kadesh in there. It's not all just shooting, but that's the bulk of it. Kinda like Rainbow Six in the HW universe, but not exactly.
Well, that's my two Hiigaran Credits.

That Idea rocks, but I've got a way to make it even better. You can also piolet ships. So you can go in and then be the one to control the ship you take over. You could also man a turret or take over a ship from the hangar if you choose. Also, the enemy could try and re take the ship so you could coordinate a defensive. And you could do like other's have said and have an online aspect where 2 or 3 people play it like regular homeworld, telling people what to do with their ships/making the AI ships do things/selecting ships for boarding while regular grunts do the take overs/control individual ships (but they'll get waypoints/attack orders from the guy in charge which they could choose to ignore if they felt like it or which they could follow). It would rely in lots of people working together. Oh a and you could have a command structure so that if they guy running the fleet from his super battle ship was forced to eject/flee or gets killed or for whatever other reason can't communicate with the fleet the next highest ranked player on that team takes over and runs the fleet. And you could have it like wolfenstien enemey territory (sort of) and have skills and ranks and that's how people would get to be in command/be able to piolet certain ships. It would really rock.

I just want Warren Spector to make another Deus Ex game, dammit...
MY ultimate game would the the conclusion of the Legacy of Kain series. If they just keep pumping out sequals, its going to start to suck, especially since the heart and soul of the whole project has moved on to other things (Amy Henning).
Anyways, its got to end. But with a thriller of a climax, with Kain, armed with Raziel, shattering the Soul Reaver over the Hilden Lord's head at the foot of the Pillars, taking him down while freeing Raziel in the process. After which Kain confronts his younger self about to condemn the Pillars, and kills him in order to bring balance back to the world. In the end, Kain MUST sacrifice himself, or else the whole point of the ending of Blood Omen is lost.
Hey, since Warren Spector is now with Crystal Dynamics, maybe HE will make the series finale. Man, that would be great *drools*

I think there is only 1 solution.
Freespace 3.
Expand the storyline with an official [V] story, but use the SCP source project.
Vanas, theres no need to update the engine, we have SCP.

I always wanted some sort of GTA game set in a sci-fi universe. With 30 some different worlds you can travel to and do jobs and what-not. You should be able to do anything you want; have a normal job as an interstellar delivery boy (or whatever), work for mobsters, steal spaceships, kidnap people for ransoms. Spare parts should be readily available so you can upgrade your ship, and you should be able to buy your own house or garage to put your ship and other stuff you collect. Action should take place in space, as in ship-to-ship combat as well on the worlds. Perhaps a multiplayer mode, or even a massive multiplayer online mode. And a story mode. *checks design document* Oh yeah, one job should be to work in the galactic navy on a battle cruiser and work your way up to higher ranks.
Yeah... that would be the ultimate game...
Another cool game would an old-school top-down space fighter shoot 'em up kind of game. It will have a cool set up and backstory and as you progress you will be able to upgrade your ship. Your ship will behave like a real spaceship would and not a jet plane, which should offer some intresting advantages and game mechanics. It will also be easily mod-able so that anyone can create new missions and enemies. Some form of multiplayer too. Maybe LAN-based, 4-player deathmatches, that kind of thing. Maybe it should be called "Attack of the UFOs X" or just "UFO-X"...

DOA volleyball on the XBOX. They need:
-More accessories (instead of color swapped items)
-Easier way to collect all swimsuits (it's nigh impossible as it is now)
-More mini-games (Including co-ed pool wrestling games)
-Male characters (with a complete line of accessories, thongs, etc.)
-Better way of sorting music at 'Radio Station'
-Custom Characters...I know TECMO would never do this, but this is MY Ultimate version...so let's throw in bare nekkidness and boobies also!!

You mean, like this?

Um, anyway, the Homeworld piloting game is still a good idea. Here's some thoughts on both Crossroads' fighter game and my starship game:
Fighter game:
You start out as a rookie pilot, and have to obey your flight leader, etc. As you gain experience and are promoted, you get to lead flights, etc. You also get sent on more dangerous missions, infiltrating enemy space and shit. Not to mention, you can even go on a black op with a captured enemy ship like, say, a Vaygr Lance Fighter.
You are able to pilot Scouts, Interceptors and Bombers. As well, you can also pilot or man the weapons on gunships, but as they have multi-person crews, you can't shoot and fly. Being a gunner is fun, but you can't go up in the chain of command, obviously. There is also a "Flight School" to train rookies (like myself, who suck at flight sims) how to fly. You get a scout for those missions.
Starship game:
You start out as a Lieutenant, and get command of a bumfuck Flak or Torpedo frigate, and have to take orders from flotilla leaders and from even Captains of larger ships. As you are promoted to Commander, you move up to a Destroyer (yeah, baby!

). As you reach Captain, your responsibilities increase. Once you get enough commendations, you earn a fuckin' Battlecruiser. Then you get to cause some real damage. Problem is, the missions are shit hard at that point because, when a fleet attacks, it's the big ships that
everyone aims for, not the escorting frigates. The food chain in fleet attrition is BC>DD>FF, usually. If you're lucky, you can get command of the real impressive ships; the Keeper Dreadnought, hell, maybe even Sajuuk. And, like the fighter game, you can have commandeered Vaygr starships, like their wierd-ass assymetric Destroyer. You also can attend a "Fleet Academy", were you get command of some meager noncombat ship to learn the basics. That way, you don't get your ass blown up in the very first mission

.
Anyway, in both cases you always have to obey some flag officer, Karan S'jet, or higher-ranking line officer in either game, regardless of rank. I mean, if you were an Admiral it would just be HW2 again, wouldn't it? So, that means that in some cases, you can't be a lone cowboy out there. Especially if you're commading a frigate or some shit.

No, what they need is to think up idle movies for your character and partner, to try and ape the intro.
To be fair, there is going to be another of these spinoffs on the way, but probably not volleyball.

They've made games similar to what you're talking about, just not space-based. Seriously, if you'd like a game where you can command from the front lines, check out Battlezone 1 and 2, plus Hostile Waters: Antaeus Rising. Hostile Waters is an especially sweet game that just didn't get enough support from the publisher, and it has the ability to allow either traditional overlord map style RTS gaming, or front lines lead your units to victory with a very intuitive command system.

Yes, but if you've not played those games yet, and you want to see a RTS with the features you've mentioned, I've just recommended not one, but three distinct games you should get your grubby little mitts on to tide you over until you do get what you want. Plus you can use those games as a basis for what works, what doesn't, and so on.
