Other than the warp storm thing, maybe they need that Titan to finish the job or something.

...Who /lands/ to deal with a demon infestation? That's what Exterminatus is for. Nothing purifies like a rain of fusion-fire.

Perhaps a chapter of the Ineptus Astartes? :P

Excellent spirit, soldier! When in doubt, use a bigger hammer! That is the Imperial Way.

Has it been explicitly stated that the expansion does or does not relate to the original game campaign? I took the ending to be something of a standard 40K ending where the war goes on, and not in need of resolution. Pretty much all victories in 40K are ultimately hollow in some form or fashion.

Burn! :)

As for the story, I assume the Daemon in question wants to use the Titan for his own nefarious purposes, and the SM Force Commander (who I assume is still used as a character) is too emotionally involved to take the easy way out via Exterminatus. Or perhaps they want to recover the Titan intact, and it would be difficult to do so if the thing has sunk into a freshly-created sea of molten rock.

The Grey Knights.

The Imperium can more easily spare worlds, of which it has uncounted numbers, than it can Space Marines.

....especially given how many Terminators and Dreadnoughts get horribly killed in Dawn of War. :)

Not sure the AdMech and the Legios would appreciate having one of their sacred God-Machines slagged along with the otherwise worthless planet, though. :)

Can they still make those titans? Or was that little bit of information lost?

I'm reasonably sure they can still build them on Mars and other forge worlds. (that is, I can't remember any fluff saying otherwise) Nonetheless, the main value attached to them would be religious, (as opposed to military) I should think.

I think some Forge Worlds are still able to make titans, but all the same, something like an Imperator isn't something you just blow up and replace. They tend to be impossibly ancient, and that experience alone makes them irreplacable.

They still make Titans. Mars at least still has the technology.

I like the Wolverine-style claws the Imperial General has, as well as the animation for the Psyker backfiring. Those mega-armoured Nobs looks like they'll be a pain to deal with. Good stuff all around. :)

Those would probably be lightning claws since he's an Impy.
