There really isn't a response. They can't retaliate, and they can't not respond to calls. Unless they're going to give fireys police-like powers, whereby ignoring or threatening them is a crime (through endangering others and property by preventing them doing their jobs). I can understand a certain amount of animosity towards the police when kids are young and rebelious. But fire fighters? When has anyone anywhere had a negative experience with a fire fighter or an EMT?
I just don't get where it comes from. Unless I am really reall shelltered, more so than I thought I was, the only time I ever heard about firefighters comming under fire here in the states was durring the LA riots.
What is going on in the UK that this is not just happening, but appears to be common?

It´s probably one of the things these kids do for fun. Showing off how tough they are and all that cal.
What you need to get into the heads of these dumbass parents is that YES kids can be little assholes, and YES they do deserve punishment for their jackassery.
I imagine that ten-year-olds would not be a large percentage of this demographic, so that should be dealt with on a case-by-case basis, but for worthless little "I'm-so-tough" shits that think they can get away with this need to be smacked upside the head. Just teach the firemen non-lethal combat techniques, and they'll bring down these little fuckers easy.
