It's your crack. Oh, I mean nocd patch

I had a friend with the same non-illegal problem until they stopped using the crack (nocd patch) that came with their illegally downloaded iso (legal backup) and got a new one from copyright infringing sites (backup facilitators). How can we seriously talk about nocd cracks? Regardless of if it implies piracy, it's illegal to reverse engineer or modify the code! It's illegal SOMEHOW.

I hate the fact that people hear 'no-cd crack' and they assume its pirated.

CDs, especially when being carted around en masse, are fragile little things. No-cd cracks let me play the game without handling the cd. I just need to keep it around incase I need to reinstall.

But that's enough ranting from me. I'll check around for another gameplay enhancer/annoyance remover.

All else fails, I'll just pop in the cd and restore my original exe.

Or, like me, you outgrew the 'box o' CDs' years ago and run everything on your ever-changing, frequently-reformatting network off of isos on a fileserver. I doubt the originals (whereever the are) are usable anymore.


I'm still pretty sure making cracks is illegal. Lets stop with the 'nocd patch' thing: be honest, it's a crack. It's an illegally modified version of copyrighted software. The EULA specifically prohibits this sort of activity. I doubt it's illegal to posses, or to use, but creating and probably providing them is.
