I'm not entirely sure how the Jedi went about "creating light" as opposed to simply using the light that was already there, but that's what the novelization says.

Maybe the were forcing people(with a lightsabre) to obey laws and not do bad stuff rather than guiding them to the conflation that obeying laws is the best way to act.

AFAIK, the prophecy was true, and Anakin was the Chosen One and did destroy the Sith and hence bring balance to the force. Luke wasn't the 'true' chosen one, just a factor in the real story of Anakin's fulfilment.

Well.......... I actually taken to believing that Luke Skywalker was the catalyst or the guide in Sons of Suns, whereas Anakin was the Doer or agent of change.

Hmmm, i'd never heard of this Son of Suns business but some googling for "Sons of Suns" gave me your February post on this topic. "Son of Suns" gives me some information-parched TFN and other board threads with this remarkable tidbit:

"... and in the time of greatest despair, there shall come a savior, and he shall be known as The Son of The Suns."

So what's all this about? Is that quote in a novelisation? What are these vague references to it being mentioned in ROTJ and TPM? That sure sounds like the only actual text of the prophecy we know of. Maybe we can piece parts of it together by digging through other drafts.

Hmmm, the term 'Son of The Suns' could apply to Anakin or Luke, since both were raised on Tatooine (even though Luke was actually born offworld). Being a savior in the time of greatest despair once again could apply to both, either Luke-the-War-Hero vs the dominance of the GE or Vader vs the last Jedi about to die + killing dear old Palps. Personally i think that passage applies best to Anakin, if somewhat ironically...
