Perhaps. Repulsors need ground to exert force on, but they don't affect the ground, it would seem, then. Recall that the soft dunes of Tatooine are not affected by the repulsors of Jabba's sail barge. That is odd.Winston Blake wrote: Didn't Qui-Gon and Jar-Jar fall right under that MTT at the start and there was no effect (aside from being windy)? Also the MTT is supposed to vent its engine/cooling exhaust straight down, so the grass moving could be explained by the AAT being similar.
It could either either be explained by low pressure or repulsors not exerting forces on matter at all.
I ussually just think of them as thrusters without reaction mass that simply need something to push off of. One could also say that they simply reciprocate gravitational forces, too, but that doesn't explain how they propel ships.Winston Blake wrote: It really depends on how repulsors are supposed to work. I mean, when i think of repulsors, i have a general idea in my head of two like electric charges repelling each other, except it works for all mundane matter. I'm sure it's a common feeling.
