Having looked at this thread, I must admit to having groaned and rolled my eyes at several posts.

No wonder people here are thought of as people who masturbate to Wong and crap like that, and hell, shit like this certanly isn't helping, and I can't blame the people who thinks that now, it's not the first time I've seen stuff like this.

This is just fuel for the fire and I also think this "Wong worship" has gone way too far and to an outside observer it just looks sad, like some sci-fi geek cult.

I respect Wong and his obvious capabilties when it comes to logic but I don't go around saying he's a god or hail lord Wong or stuff like that.

I know it's mostly just joking but thats not how it looks and even I sometimes have a hard time telling myself it's only joking or serious hero worship and even so, "get a life" is the phrase which involuntary springs to mind.

I realize this isn't exactly gonna make me popular but I feel it has to be said.

This is what I feel, simply by reading the title. Look you guys, if all you are going to do is worship Wong, all it does is degrade yourself, and I am sure Wong feels just as degraded. I know I would. I think that if you are going to spend your time on this board worshipping the admin, you need to get out more, and have a life.

I know I am on this board quite a bit, and don't have much room to speak, but I am on this board because I enjoy it, not because I worship Wong. It sickens me to see anybody throwing themselves so low as to go about kissing the ground someone walks on.

Again, I am on this board at all hours of the day sometimes, but I know that I have friends that I can hang out with (provided I can get a hold of them) and I have school, and I am starting a job. Frankly, Wong is one of the worst people I've interacted with, as good a person as he is. This is no disrespect to him, but I have a different take on him than most of you guys do. HDS brought up a very good point: You can't be spending your lives following somebody. He's the admin, yes, and that makes him all-powerful on this board, but you treat him as something infallible far too often.

HDS is right. Enough of the Lord Wong worship it's quite sad. Regarding names, Darth Wong or Lord Wong is good enough- however I don't wanna call our Admin just Wong, it's disrespectful- however when I say Lord Wong I'm not being a geeky worshipping wierdo. I suggest everyone quit it.

Heh heh ... while this is all very amusing and embarrassing at the same time, I think people need to relax a bit. The "cult of Wong" thing is obviously just for fun, and anyone who takes it seriously or uses it as a slam against the board's population is a blithering idiot. So I don't think we should worry about how it will be "perceived" by others.

PS. The "cult of Wong" thing would be quite interesting if I could use it to get tax-exempt status
