Bah. The local chapter of the national philosophy honorary has come to the conclusion that humans are not rational beings. We may be rational from time to time, but humankind, like all animals, is essentially irrational with occasional moments of rationality due to training.

I still say there are no rational people. Rational people would be unable to take a risk without first analyzing every possible outcome, since acting while uncertain is irrational. Actually, often humans are in situations where every response is irrational. Someone throws a punch at you. Do you:

A) block the punch
B) run away
C) back away

If A, you're not getting away from the problem; irrational. If B, you turned your back on someone who attacked you; irrational. If C, you're not moving away from the problem as quickly as possible and you're not looking where you're going; irrational. Humanity is and has to be irrational; it's the differing levels of irrational behavior that make people unable to understand each other.

For me personally it's because all of the girls I knew in HS were crazy.

One simple principle. Men are always wrong.

That means that even in though women are consistent they do so in ways that contradict sanity. It thus makes them crazy.
