They go from a 1.5s 350 HP heal to a 1.8s 1300HP heal which makes a massive difference. I know there's a lot of time when I'm on the MT heal rotation that I would LOVE for my Paladin to take over healing the party so I don't have to waste mana when I should be regenning mana.
The lack of instant heal and group heal makes the pally a rather useless healer.
If you're running Molten Core, really, only your tanks should be taking damage. The Paladin's job is to cover for people being stupid and not moving away from AE, or getting hit by cleave, etc. They definitely aren't good enough to heal the tanks or even the offtanks, but they can help heal the people who shouldn't be taking damage which takes a HUGE burden off the backs of the priests.

I actually really like my new warr (only 28 at the moment). Warrior is boring as hell until he gets to at least level 21. That's when he gets Improved Charge and 5 ranks of Tactical Mastery. Being able to switch stances based on the situation is what seperates a good tank from a bad, IMO, and it drastically improves on the Warrior's game player.
Out of all my characters (60 Priest, 58 Mage, 37 Hunter, 28 Warrior, 24 Rogue), if I had to rank them in terms of "fun-factor" it would be Warrior, Hunter, Mage, Rogue, Priest.
For the love of God I hate playing my priest, but he's also the character that is in most demand, and helps the guild out the most. Meh.

Pfft. I don't like stance dancing. I make sure my rage is gone when I switch stances anyway, I want to use all the battle stance goodies I can before switching to boring old defensive.

...Warriors have stances?
I don't have to worry about Defensive Stance until I get up in the big leagues.

I don't do the stance dance until....oh really the 40 man areas. Even then it's somewhat pointless, I mean why? In those areas, MT goes protect, everyone else make sure you can aggro mobs and and OT.
They nerfed some areas so badly, you only get wipes if some other dickhead goes stupid with fear and attracts ultra aggro.
And for Pally healing others............only because the seven priests and six druids on MT rotation are being dicks. Paladin healing is something many Pally scream because they hate thinking all they do is "Cleanse and Bless". Though Blizz reinforces this by making all our high end shit be nothing more then stupid healing equip. I mean why not name me a Cleric and be done with it. I offtank in MC only because I have two armor set, one purely for OT, and sucks for Mana, the other for healing with is most of my Epics and tidbits.
Fucking A, Blizz really needs to increase the Bless timer, and if they want to make it cost 5 times more....cool. Blessing every fucking Battle is annoying and while Blessahoy is a godsend, it's still shitty to bless, drink, and then enter a battle, every battle during the four hour trek that is MC.

My brother uses stances all the time for his lvl 55 Gnomish warrior. They're actually most useful for PvP, since some stances allow you to break some spells or other abilities.

In PvP starting off with defensive and then switching to berserk usually works for me- use Disarm on them, a little sunder armor doesn't hurt, maybe a shield bash if they're a spell caster, then go right to berserk and wail on them with heroic strike, pummel, and mortal strike.

It's not even just switching stances; it's switching weapons. For example, I normally fight dual wield. However, I'll swap to a 3.4 speed mace for Overpower and Retaliate. I'll swap in a shield for shield bash.
I know the warrior I run with tanks Magmadar in Berserker Stance when we don't have a dwarf priest around.
I definitely think there's more to it than just "Cast Sunder Armor...alot".

I'm just waiting now for Star Wars Galaxies to be delivered by post from Amazon.
Frankly, if you thought
World of Warcraft was boring, you'll be sorely disappointed by Galaxies...

Course there is...there's smacking the monster with the shield, and using revenge.
There are plenty of way of grabbing aggro, and if the raid is good, they grasp not to go apeshit(which is why Rogue's don't unload on a monster)
