Oh and btw, Darkane, if you are trying to do better, you're failing miserably. I would suggest you take a week off from the forum, and when you return, get rid of your annoying signature, get rid of the Yoda pic (I mean, it really looks like you're trying to kiss up to Darth Wong) and make a point of only posting, say, once or twice per day.
1st: I don't kiss up to anyone
2nd: I'll take a week off, or just post less
3rd: I was already thinking of changing the Sig
4th: I'll switch the Avatar to something like the Deathstar or somthing
5th: It's Dakarne, not Darkane
Then, your presence might be more tolerable and less of a general pain in the ass.
Okay, I'll do that.

Sry, my bad, regarding your name.

Your new pic and sig are good.

Only one problem-you botched my favorite line of Palpatine(!)

If memory serves, what he actually says is:

"The Dark Side is the patheway to many abilities, some considered to be unnatural."

That said, I've seen about three different versions of it floating around, and the way he pronounces it is kind of...open to interpretation. Either way, that line was the highlight of ROTS for me, that whole scene in the theatre with the weird bubble thing in the middle...just brilliant. I love it.

Anyway, we'll have to see if you get better or not, but hopefully, you can improve.

Thankyou for your confidence... now we'd better get back on topic before Ghost Rider gives us the smackdown.

However, it would in all probability take time, and the success of COMPNOR is by no means guaranteed-they were totally useless in preventing the popular disdain for the Empire that allowed the Rebel Alliance to flourish (it's true, there would have been a Rebellion regardless, but the ease with which the Rebels were able to get support from planets such as Sullust and Mon Calamari, and by which they were able to recruit, suggest a general bad public perception of the Empire and point to major failures on the part of COMPNOR).
The main reason the Rebellion was able to do so well was miscalculations on the parts of Palpatine and Tarkin. Mainly, blowing up Alderaan as an example to the rest of the galaxy, then losing the DSI. Without the DSI to keep planets in line Alderaan's example just ended up horrifying, scaring, and pissing people off. Plus, the enslavement and intimidation of aliens forced many alien species to join the Rebellion so they could free themselves, or simply survive. COMPNOR just couldn't effectively keep planets from joining the Rebellion after the DSI was destroyed. Though the real blow that COMPNOR couldn't recover from was the death of the emperor and destruction of the DSII enabling the Rebels to gain enough support to declare a New Republic.

The thing you have to think about more fully is now that the Federation is thrown in chaos, the members of the Federation will probally start infighting between themeselves. What you got to do now is set up an Imperial force to quell the infighting of the "Imperial provinces" in the Milky Way. This will have to be done before any fully Imperial government can take effect in the new galaxy.

Now theres 2 paths to doing this. Be a diplomatic messanger that is a middle man, this way there will be alot less fighting, it will be slower but you will be able to then take their ships an add to your fleet

2) you can quickly blow both sides to oblivion and declare marshall law. This will be alot quicker but probally will cause lots of dissidents on many worlds which will lead to future conflicts and failer of the new provinces to take heed to Imperial rule.

The partnership of Thrawn and Palleon will work quite fine in this little new galaxy to fit into the plans of the Emprie

As I see it, even though Empire could easily take the Milky Way in a military campaign, you'd start off with all your new citizens itching to join the Rebellion.
Preferable would be to have the locals willingly join the Empire, which actually wouldn't be that implausible. Benefits for signing up, among others: they gain a whole galaxy of new technologies and market opportunities, protection from the best military ever encountered, and they are left to run most of their own affairs (as long as those affairs don't interefere with Imperial affairs).
So you have to put people with actual diplomatic skills in charge of the Milky Way, instead of military commanders.
Add a few well publicized military campaigns against a few local powers everyone hates (Dominion, Borg), and you're sure to make friends quickly.
