The rest of my name, Wong Yuan Wei, basically means " Great Lord of Money" (not well translated, I never liked Chinese that much.

NIGEL m English

CORY m English
Pronounced: KOR-ee
From a surname which was possibly either derived from the Old Norse given name Kori (of unknown meaning), or else meant "ravine" in Gaelic.

Cory -- Male -- Celtic --> Helmet :?

http://www.parenthood.com/

Absolutly never saw this definition before. :?:

CORY
Gender: Male
Root: COREY
Origin: Latin
Meaning: Between Two Cliffs :P

There are a crapload more meanings to my first name. No one seems able to agree on the meaning except for the one derived from Old Norse. With that one they all agree that they don't know what it means. :?

I was always thought it meant "Chosen One" sometimes includeing "..of the Hollow" or "...of the glenn". Some of the other sites I found said that it only meant "hollow" or "glenn". The "Between Two Cliffs" and "Ravine" kind of fits with "hollow" in a way.

"Christ bearer," based on a saint who carried Christ across a river on his shoulders. As anyone who's seen my posts in the Science forum knows, the irony is priceless.

last name is german for "small." Don't bother with the jokes, I've heard them all already.

Gavin, apparently, is an English version of Gawain: "White hawk."

Healey is Irish for "Decendant of Claimaint/ Ingenious"

I am about as english as one can get.

First name "Cody" comes from Irish or Celtic derivitive of a German name that means "son of Otto", wich happens to be a line of nobility there. Ha ha ha.

Middle name is good old Celtic and or English/Scottish that means woods or wind. I guess I'm as stuborn as a log, and I just can't hear you over my own wind.

Last name, one I happily share with a larged....Um, chested, lady of English decent that is promently portrayed on a video game that is a blatent rip off of Indiana Jones, is a English name that means or ment at one time, town with small inclosed field.

So, three names and all three are English. A spot of tea, anyone?

So, not English, at all really.

Me:
First name Debi - which is a Hebrew "bee" that can't spell
Second name Hazel - that's a tree.
Third is Linton - Well, that means my Grandmother really liked Wuthering Heights

Not.

My first and middle names are English/English derivitive
My last name is English. There's a bay in England that is named from my family.

I married German, however.

Martin is derived from Mars, God of War. That, and my deific alter-ego apparantly has really kinky sex with Venus.

My last name, for one, is bastardized because no one could pronounce it in my great-grandad's day. Even before that, I'm not sure what it means. Kemish originates from the Isle Of Man, and until someone can prove otherwise, I'm going to assume it means 'He of titanic manliness'. :D

My first name is straight out of the Bible. I find the fact that I am atheistic quite delicious.

My last name is something Poleish. As such, it is unpronouncable by those who've just met me. :D

My name--

"Ariel"-- Hebrew, Lion of God
pronounced: ar-re-EL (not AIR-e-el, which is the English female version).

"Shaham"-- Hebrew, meaning "stone" or "granite".

Adopted family name of "Grant", supposedly Scottish of the Stuart line but also derived from French "LaGrande".

So my Hebrew name, translated into English, would be: "Arik Stone"
Not bad.

And Spanks, "Hart" is an old term for "Buck", a dominant male deer. So get out there and prove dominance to someone. And make them say "yes, deer".

No, I'm the one who calls people Dear. :P

Well, I think my parents gave the middle name Hart because my mom likes how it sounds, but didn't want it spelt as 'heart', which is kinda stupid.

"Debi" would be a derivative of the original "D'vorah", and since in some forms a "B" and a "V" can be the same latter, that's also how we get "Deborah", which many girls don't like but I always thought was cool.

And yeah, it means "bee" or maybe "wasp" --something that can sting when not treated right.

I just wanted to avoid calling her a girl, as I don't know her age.

And also because I know that some of our resident women (Kelly, Zaia...) don't liked to be refered to as girls.

Yeap, I'm female. 21 BTW, so I'm a girl emotionally but a woman physically. you can call me a girl, woman, lady, beyutch, anything, depending on your mood.

Yeah I knew that. And they can sting just cause they want to

It's really Deborah, but Debi's easier to say and Debbie just cries out for a heart over the i, IMO.
My English teacher wants felt the need to explain how 'Debi' was not a phonetic spelling - all over my coursework.
