But seriously, if you're going to satire something, shouldn't you at least do some research on what you're satiring? For example, having the VHS and DVD self-destruction be based on a physical mechanism-- maybe a variant of the chemicals that make certain promotional DVDs unreadable after 24 hours-- instead of programming?
