XP... I think. If Nitram's online ask him to boot her up and see. It came packaged with the eMachine system.

no jokes about 'eMachine, there's the problem', please.

You know, I just worked on two consecutive eMachines, then I came online to se this. Don't worry, I've got it out of my system :) That said, lemme dig up a file tonight and send it over, might help.

I wish I'd thought of it as well.

Oh well, the OS reinstall cleared out all of the other bullshit she was undoubtedly infected with anyways, as my niece is a heavy filesharer and freeware user despite my repeated warnings.

But I did find a nice litte program to put in my toolkit for the next time.

Can't look at it right now, as I'm at work, but I use a couple LSP fix programs myself, that's probably one of them.

Thanks to everyone here for all the advice and aid.

My sis come down and bought us a new LinkSys 4-port router from RadioShack (mainly because she was annoyed that she couldn't get online while down here  )

There was also no problem with my NIC either... Nit hadn't rebooted my computer when he was testing to see if I could connect to the cable modem. Silly Nitram.
