Stormies probably were genetically manipulated not to have a normal sex drive like regular humans. They must make up a large percentage of the crew. Anyway, the Guri droid is called an HRD, or Human Replica Droid that is indistinguishable from a human. For this reason they cost an assload of credits and are EXTREMELY rare. Even state of the art scanners can't detect what they really are. This information is from Shadows of the Empire.

in the bounty hunter series, the number was 7 or 9 million credits (I dont remember which). it may be pointed out that a light transport yt1300 is around 25k credits.

course, she was an assassin as well. . . and a twilek slave chick is much cheaper.

Hmm...I wonder if there's any sort of currency converter out there....or if there's ever been stated currency comparisons between credits and dollars...?

I mean....what exactly would 9 million credits be in RL? A billion dollars? A few hundred million? A few million? A trillion? What?

well, due to tech differences, a dollar equals a credit, in the way that you can buy a car that travels to cities and a ship that travels to stars for roughly the same price number of 25k. but if you tried to buy that ship with u.s. dollars, it would be an impossible price, a million new tech devices, and the dollars useless outside of one backwater planet. they'd prolly demand a pile of high quality minerals, which can be sold on their planets, and we would quite cheerfully pay - hyperdrive is worth nearly any price.

Credits don't convert well to dollars. A drink costs a few, a starship capable of lightspeed jumps costs 10,000, and an Imperator costs 47 mill, i think. I just say it's a strange world after all.
