I agree. There's no need to augment the actresses' breasts or to search for big-breasted actresses for the movie. My complaint is that the faces and hairstyles are too wrong. The only way I could tell who was who in the trailer was by the costumes (and Ayane's purple hair). Tina is especially off. And I can't even tell who the third blonde is supposed to be (though her hairstyle is more in line with what Tina's should be...).
Actually you missed the point in the first paragraph... I think that if DoA has big tits, the movie should have big tits, if only to remain true to the video game. You or I don't like huge tits, but the game freaks do. It's like watching Doom and having no demons. Big tits should be there, nothing smaller than a C cup, just because that's the way it is in the game. It's easy to do anyway, stuff your tits.

There's a difference between tits and demons.

Namely, the demons were an integral part of the DOOM storyline. The tits in DOA are eye-candy, and while a signature of the series, the movie doesn't seem look to be sticking to the game's roots, so why the hell should it bother with making everyone's boobs huge?

Maybe the Lara Croft example is better. Or maybe use BFG. I never played DoA (maybe a few times but I don't remember), but what plot it's a fighting game/volleyball game, eye-candy is the name of the game and if you're making a movie for fanservice, go all the way as much fanservice as you can don't make it half-assed.

If you think throwing up a bra kicking a guy's ass so you can go topless doing a roundhouse kick and letting the bra drop through your arms and telling the guy behind to "hook me up" then kicking his ass is not fanservice, I don't know what is .

That was almost surreal.

Seriously, that was just whole new levels of awful...

I get vibes of Super Mario Bros from it, though. It might be nice campy goodness.

But I'd much rather just have a straight-up Ninja Gaiden film, done right. Action film of the goddamn century, I tells ya.

Well, I got the point, it just didn't appeal to me. :P

Demons are a part of the storyline to Doom. Breasts are not a part of the storyline of Dead or Alive. (Unless there's some exposition I missed.)

Regardless of what "should" be the focus, keeping breast sizes the same was obviously not the focus in the casting decisions. Which is fine, as far as I'm concerned. (I also think the "enhancements" Jolie had in Tomb Raider were a bad idea.) But I do wish they chose actresses with faces that better resembled the characters they are supposed to represent.

On the other hand, casting is the least of that movie's problems...

It didn't seem all that bad after hearing a lot of grief about it. If it doesn't fall into the trap that Charlies Angels did, then it could work. Speaking of which, I saw Full Throttle yesterday and I was glad I could turn the channel before I ended up wasting my time. (And that was after having low expectations for years) I only caught 15 minutes and knew I was wasting my time. (it's on my list now)

What I can't believe is that Holly FUCKING Valance has been put in it.

Her best work thus far was doign backing vocals for Har Mar Superstar.

You actually think bands decide who gets to buy liscences for their music?

Heh, that's cute.

Dreadful. Also, the preview link doesn't seem to work anymore. I had to track down the preview through other means...

I'm going to complain about their crappy sword stances, since everyone has already complained about everything else. If Liam Neeson could get it mostly right as Qui-Gon why can't they? It's not like that's a difficult stance. And did one of them actually hold the blade of the sword?! And then there was the one-handed katana handling :wanker:

She looked good in Neighbours.

or even that their reps let them use it. I realize the band does not directly control 100% of that but they do some of it.
