No just

name: Sick
cost: 1 black
type: enchantment

effects -1/-1 if target can attack, it must, otherwise inflict 1 damage to player.

sick creatures are easy to ire, and seldom reasoned with.

We need a card celebrating Lady Zentei's newly revealed status, as well as the fact she revealed it on April Fools' Day!

Woo hoo!

Hell, I didn't even have a card before.

The Yosemite Bear wrote:how about a Pick card?
I already made that one. It should be in the old thread.

Omigawsh, it just dawned on me: you have boobs! :P

Now, whose fault is that? You were one of the more prolific cardmakers in that thread, IIRC.

Zentei made these in the previous thread.

And just because it's helpful...

Is there a good website which explains the rules these cards are based on?
ROARRR!!!

Here, my previous explanation: Linka.

Website with rules: Linka.

Downloads/Editor: Linka.

Rough rule of thumb for homemade cards: Linka.

Note: multicolour creatures are generally cheaper because
a) a larger number of "protection from <colour>" abilities will hinder them, and
b) a more varied range of lands is neccesary to summon them.

Note: several cards here make the error of saying "this creature cannot be attacked", but creatures are never "attacked" per se, they are "targeted" by spells and abilities, they can suffer from global effects and they can block or be blocked in combat.

mr friendly guy's guide to colours: Linka.

Because doing one's own card strikes me as being a mite off, IMO. Part of the fun is seeing how others see you (though I did make one of myself, just for laughs, even if I didn't post it).

I should smack you for pinching my bandwidth. And don't forget the title, peasant.

Actually, Noble Ire made the Pick's Art card: I made the Pick card.

Bah. My bad. Terrible memory. And about the bandwidth... if you'd like me to remove the image, say so.

Nah, I'd probably just repost it myself on this very thread to show it, since it was asked for. ;)

Though bad things tend to happen to people who steal my bandwidth, as a rule.

Indeed. I remember a certain picture I set in my signature which ... changed while I was away from the board. At least it didn't change into a violation of the TOS, but it was certainly embarrassing.

I agree. Noble Ire, I would like that picture, full sized, if it would not trouble you.

Do I get a card, or do people who's names are only numbers not get to be on cards?

PI
cost: pi (colorless)
description: no cost to play on 14 March. all creatures become tapped. (either enjoying nice hearty pi, or trying to figure out an impossible number. Spanky will not become tapped, claim this is a stupid joke, and gain rampage +1/+1 for the next 3.141592 etc turns....

Hmm. Well, the question is, what should the abilities be? And do you have a higher resolution image of your avatar?

Requesting a Metroid card to give me that +1/+1. Or a Metroid set. Hm, there's an idea.

I have a higher resolution image, but near as I can tell, I don't have a whole hell of a lot of special abilities. I'm good at pissing people off, but that's about it.

There should be a math card to give the math people a boost.

Good idea! Include Edi's *is stunned by the power of the runes* quote in your 'Grousing' thread (which btw I think holds the record for highest signal/noise ratio of any in HoS, and is a contender for same across SDN) :P

Pissing people off - brilliant! "When Zero132132 attacks, all creatures must block him if able". That's an ability called taunt, and tactically it is damned potent, since the taunting creature clears the creatures of the defending player (causing them to block it) allowing the heavy hitters to strike unhindered.

Just post the high res image, and I'll get to it.

Any preference for colours? As I recall, blue was ST, and red SW apart from their usual meanings.

I had a system worked out actually, although you're not bound to it, certainly:

Red: Star Wars Debators, Flamewarriors, Moderators/Admins
Blue: Star Trek Debators, OSF-Centric, Math/Science focused, Fanfics
White: Artisans, Diplomats (Occasionally Lurkers as well)
Green: Lurkers, Comedians
Black: Trolls and the like
