And let's not forget RT's version of Protoculture, which is a flower that can be used as a power source. Right...

Why? Robotech was superior to Macross.
While I liked Robotech, Macross was infinitely cooler. :)
Yet it lacked the epic, multi-generational story arc that made Robotech more than merely the sum of its parts.

That's not even the worst of it. What about the poor people who lived in Macross City, inside the SDF-1's main cannon, and for some reason, whenever it fired, they were untouched by the massive energy release?

Really good insulation?

But seriously, I thought the city was in the "upper torso" area, which saw the most alteration in the transformation sequence. That and the fact that when Khyron's forces broke into the ship, the city was the first thing they reached.

Oedipus is epic, Robotech is crapic. Funny how you're repeating the Robotech party line. Yeah, next to nothing from the previous generation ever survives into the next one and oh look some characters are tossing around throw away lines about the past.

The city is in the legs of the Macross. With some very heavy shielding in between the engines and the people of course. I forget how it goes, its like one leg is the civillian sector and the other is the barracks.

how did this thread go from clone army VS. zentradi army to robotech vs. macross???? anyhow i can't really compare the two because the only one ive ever seen is robotech except for some video called superdimensional fortress macross which if im reading into things right tries to squeze the entire macross series into a 90 min video.
