Oh, I did my math wrong. I thought 40 Centigrade was around 115 Fahrenheit. My bad.Tsyroc wrote:Captain Kruger wrote:Sure we do. In Tucson the ice doesn't break on the Santa Cruz River until the temperature breaks 100F (37.7778C). Still, most people around here would agree that 104 (~40C) is pretty hot.ggs wrote:Hmm, Just had a massive heat

The day Centigrade or any metric measurement ends up the "proper" way to do things in America is the day I grow wings and cat fur. I don't think we'll ever get off our butts and do it.ggs wrote:That is in degrees Centigrade, the proper temperature measure (Much easier to convert to Kelvin too).

America is going to soon convert other countries from the metric system, very, very soon.

It very rarely hits zero Centigrade. During the summer, the temperature can drop down to ~5-10 degrees at night. But it doesnt last very long, when the maxium temperature is +30 something.Grand Admiral Thrawn wrote:ggs wrote:Grand Admiral Thrawn wrote:How cold does it get in Australia (+40 is crazy!)

In winter it can drop below 20 Centigrade, but rarely below 10 degrees.

Ah, what a trip. 10 full days at the condo, and I went absolutely MAD! Glad I brought my computer even if I didn't have internet access. Ah, it was fun though. Got to go skiing 4 times and had a blast for Christmas and New Years.
FYI, I was at Sun Valley. For those who don't know, its the destination resort for anyone who's anyone. Arnold Schwartzeneger was in town, but didn't see him. However I did get to see Tom Hanks on the mountain and at the local market.
